Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
I love running outdoors and hiking, anything in nature or with my own body weight. I gain muscle really quickly and stay away from weights. At the moment I love ‘hot power yoga’ as it strengthens my core, drenches me, give me a cardiovascular workout, relaxes the mind and helps with balance. Other than surfing of course!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Roxy Louw
: I don’t have any set diet that I follow but I do believe in healthy eating. I eat as clean and whole as I can, that is without preservatives, additives, sugar and unsaturated fats. My dad had a terrible Cancer scare and with supporting him through this struggle, it opened my eyes to nutrition and what an impact it plays on a person mentally and physically. He had 3 months to live and he is heathy and glowing 5 years later with the correct nutrition. I have gone ahead and studied nutrition and have a anti cancer blog and instagram account where I share what I have learnt. www.roxylouw.blogspot .com @roxylouw and @healthygirl_rox for recipes.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
Thank you, my skin is 90% diet, yoga, no sugar, lots of water, lots of sunscreen, salt water and moisturizer. I also drink allot of homemade ‘Kefir milk’ which is great for varies things..

My hair is purely treatment and surfing with conditioner in. I have a fabulous salon in Cape Town, “Palladium” who make sure that I pop in every week for a treatment, as the sun and salt water and hair dryers can be damaging.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding professional modelling girls who all are your fans, what they should do for their climb to ladder of success in the field of modelling?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
Don’t be put off or let down by rejection. A client always has a specific ‘look’ in mind and one day you will fill that spot. Push through and stay positive. Everyone had let downs.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How did you feel before and after when you were selected as “FHM 100th edition golden girl” and winning the “FHM 100 sexiest woman”. What a proud moment for you?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
I was taken by such surprise, I was in complete dis-believe being a sporty barefoot surfer girl and winning such a huge title. It was an amazing moment.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have done bold photo shoots for Sports illustrated, FHM and other magazines. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modelling and do you wish to see more female surfers do the same ?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
Confidence, shoot prep is very important. If you go into the shoot feeling terrible in your skin, it will show on your face and body language. Be as comfortable and happy with yourself when you shoot.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: As an actress, you acted in Blue Crush 2 in 2011 and The Perfect Wave in 2014. Kindly elaborate on this endeavor of yours?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
After winning FHM 100 sexiest, I was put forward to cast for blue crush 2, which was filmed in South Africa at the time. I got the role as Acupolco Goldie and spent the most amazing time shooting with Universal Pictures and a awesome Cast. I realized how much I enjoyed acting and connecting with my new ‘surf family’ on set for over a month. I went on to study a bit of acting.

The “perfect wave” was fun, I was handed the script years before it was produced and it was great watching it play out. It was really nice working with Scott Eastwood too, not bad eye candy. Haha..

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have now turned your focus to coaching, dedicating your time and energy to helping others learn surfing. Tell us about this endeavor of yours ?

Ms. Roxy Louw:
I don’t coach permanently but tend to help others out or and off some coaching off for charity auctions. It can be really fun!

Ms. Namita Nayyar: As a model you have traveled for Oakley Campaign on varies shoots, to Brazil, Costa Rico, Bali, California, and Hawaii. How you are able to adapt to these foreign locations and to different kind of professional environment as a model?

Ms. Roxy Louw: My first trip was scary but awesome at the same time. It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow up really quickly. I’m all for facing your fears and taking chances.

I’m lucky to have learnt to deal with ‘adults’ and foreigners through my family and our travels. We are very close and my dad has freedom of the city in Laquila in Italy, where we travelled to regularly. Saying so… adventure, foreign cultures and meeting new people excite me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
