The WBFF Asia (World Beauty, Fitness, and Fashion) third placer in the Diva Fitness category, Quisha Baterna, has shown she’s come a long way from being just a demure office girl to becoming a culinary graduate, online fitness coach, and bodybuilding influencer with her own meal business on the side.
Women Fitness’ President Namita Nayyar catches up with the wonder woman to share her fitness, nutrition and success secrets.

I started my fitness journey about 4 years ago. I was very unhealthy. There was a time that I was skinny then I was fat. When I got fat, I did crash dieting and that made me lose weight. And then I got fat again. It was very unhealthy and I didn’t exercise. Basically, I just didn’t feel good about it all so I started exercising and read a lot about nutrition. I enjoyed it and also I got to have a healthy relationship with food.

I wake up, have coffee and do a quick cardio. After cardio, sometimes I teach and when I’m done that’s when I workout. I go to work after lunch and get home at night. I do another cardio when I’m not yet tired.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Basically, I just enjoy strength training or lifting weights. It amazes me that you can shape your body through it.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Not really. I do flexible dieting. I just reach a specific calories and macronutrients for the day. It’s much more sustainable and I still get to eat out with my friends and family. The only challenge is I have to bring my weighing scale with me all the time.

I don’t really do much with my hair. I just use shampoo and conditioner and get a hair spa every month. For skincare, I never sleep with make up on and I always moisturize. Just the basics.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Always be the hardest worker in the room. That’s the only way that you will be able to achieve your goals. Be consistent and earn your body so that you will get to appreciate it more. Be hungry while staying humble.

My greatest influece are fitness competitors. Seriously. It takes so much discipline just to get the body that you want. I never realized how hard it is until I tried it. Hands down.
