Namita Nayyar:
You were born in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Your love for speed skating started early in life. You won in the 2013 World Single Distance Championships the gold medal in the 1000 speed skating meters race and a bronze medal in the 500 meters. This later propelled your career to the height where you have been at the top of the world as a speed skater. You won the Olympic Silver medal in 2014 at Sochi in 500m speed skating. Tell us more about your journey of exceptional hard work, tenacity, and endurance?
Olga Fatkulina:
The most motivating thing for me is the loss of my mother and father’s parents at the age of 6. I lived with my brother, my grandmother and my uncle .We lived poorly. Skates gave me hope that I could get out of this poor circle and be better than my relatives. At the age of 15, I wanted to quit skating, but the school and the coach brought me back. When I started earning my first money, it motivated me a lot. There were a lot of injuries throughout my career! Operations. It always just made me angry and made me stronger.
