Kate Garry Hudson is an American actress. She came to prominence in 2001 after winning a Golden Globe and receiving several nominations, including a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Almost Famous. She then starred in the hit film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days which gained her wider fame. She has since established herself in Hollywood after starring in several productions including Raising Helen , The Skeleton Key , You, Me and Dupree , Fool’s Gold and Bride Wars (2009). She is currently playing the recurring role of Cassandra July in the musical comedy-drama series Glee.

Kate Hudson, the 33-year-old Oscar-nominee was spotted leaving Lee’s Nail Salon in West Hollywood after a manicure. Despite carrying a black quilted purse, the Almost Famous star had her hands full as she strutted along in her striped shirt, knit cardigan and white skinny jeans.

The mother-of-two completed her fuss-free look with her blonde hair in a braid, cute orange sunglasses, and nude peep-toe pumps. Kate landed on practically every best-dressed list after dazzling the Golden Globes in her sensational gilded Alexander McQueen gown earlier this month. And the fashionista plans to employ her superb taste-making skills as a co-designer for Ann Taylor’s summery fashion range, which hits stores in May.

Hudson has already been the face of the brand for the past two seasons, and she’ll also front the spring 2013 campaign. But, according to Women’s Wear Daily, her new line is said to be ‘inspired by her red-carpet style, reinterpreted for everyday occasions.’ Talking about the womenswear pieces she said: ‘I think the bright colors, sharper lines, and graphic prints give the spring collection a really cool twist.

Not seen Saturday was Kate’s fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, and their 18-month-old son Bingham. The Glee guest star is also mother to nine-year-old Ryder with ex-husband, rocker Chris Robinson.

She and Matt have been together for over two years, but there are no plans to walk down the aisle yet.’ We’ll do it eventually but I want it to be right,’ Hudson recently told The Sun. ‘I don’t want to just do it, you know what I mean?’ Kate will next be seen in the action/thriller Everly, about a woman who faces down assassins sent by her ex – a mob boss – while holed up in her apartment. Next year, she’ll star in two comedies – Born to Be King with Ewan McGregor and the HBO movie Clear History with Larry David.
