Julianne Moore looked stunning in revealing sheer lace front dress. Earlier today she learned she was nominated for an Oscar for her critically acclaimed performance in Still Alice. And Julianne Moore celebrated the news by ramping up the sexiness as she took to the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday. The 54-year-old Best Actress nominee continued to dazzle in a revealing black dress adorned with a sheer lace front detail as she made her way into the Hollywood Palladium.
Julianne was positively chic in the fitted long sleeve sheath which put her cleavage prominently on display. She had her fiery locks sleekly styled straight down to her shoulder with natural makeup on her alabaster complexion, dark lashings of mascara and a pale plum lipstick. A pair of exquisite diamond chandelier earrings and an onyx manicure completed the stylish ensemble.

When youre 17 you say to your parents I want to be an actor thats one thing,’ the Still Alice star revealed. ‘But after youve been doing it for so many years, to get an accolade like that, an Oscar nomination?! The Hollywood veteran received the news while flying to Los Angeles from her home in New York and disclosed who she called immediately. The first person I told was my husband when I got off a plane this morning,’ she said of the father of her two children, Bart Freundlich.
She is nominated for Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards and is up against Jennifer Aniston (Cake), Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Reese Witherspoon (Wild). Julianne already has two Critics’ Choice Awards having previously won Best Actress for the 2002 film Far From Heaven and for her television work in the 2012 HBO movie Game Change.

‘They are pretty good eaters. The Crazy Stupid Love actress said in a recent interview that she has never had a problem getting good roles despite her age. ‘I cant complain. Ive been pretty lucky,’ she told Instyle, adding: ‘And I think the more we talk about it, the more we make it real. I hate being asked this stuff! Lets appreciate where we are. Lets not wish our lives away.’
Most dread the concept of getting older, but Julianne defied this as she revealed that she makes a point of trying to balance traditional pressures with living in the present. ‘I feel very much in the middle of my life,’ she explained.
