Beyoncé stunned audiences at a Superbowl with her fit body !
– Reported, February 05, 2013
Beyoncé stunned audiences and fashion fans in a Superbowl half-time performance that included pyrotechnics and appearances from her former Destiny’s Child bandmates. But her revealing leather and lace mini-dress also came as a surprise. Singer Beyonce performs during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Maple Syrup diet that Beyonce went on before making Dreamgirls is a fast. The process is hard on the body. When Beyoncé Knowles had to lose weight quickly for her role in the film Dreamgirls she turned to the Maple Syrup Diet (also known as the Lemonade Diet). This diet is a form of fasting that helps you to start losing fat.
In April 2012 Beyoncé announced that she was going to stop all fad diets to ensure that she is a good example to her daughter, who was born in January. She was recently seen enjoying the good weather in a black swimsuit and this sparked some new interest into how she stays in shape.
While she admits that she is not a fitness fanatic, she does enjoy doing a healthy amount of exercise to stay in shape. Her work is very active which helps her to burn more energy.
Beyoncé says that most important part of staying on great shape is to simple eat a healthy diet and get regular exercise.
Beyonces Fitness Workouts
Before we look at the diet it is important to point out that Beyoncé does not use this fast to keep in shape. Like all fit and healthy celebrities Beyoncé goes to the gym on a regular basis to workout. Her figure is now the result of her healthy eating and fitness routines
The diet she went on was only for a very short period before Dreamgirls was filmed in 2006. So if you want a slim and toned body like Beyoncé, do not try this fast/cleanse. If you asked Beyonce how to lose weight she would not reply Master Cleanse, she would tell you it is by eating a healthy diet and exercising a lot.
Beyonces Gym Workout
Beyonce does full body workouts at the gym, using weights to exercise her shoulders and biceps, bodyweight training, such as push ups, sit ups, squats and lunges to work her legs, core and chest. This beginners weight training routine will get you started on a similar workout.
She also runs up to 6 miles several times a week and does boxing workouts which provide an intensive cardio workout and endurance training, which help her to performing dance routines on stage.
Beyoncés Lemon Juice with Maple Syrup Diet
Beyoncés Maple Syrup Diet is really an unhealthy way to lose weight. It simply involves eating no solid food at all. The flush and laxative treatments add to the health risks associated with this method. This makes it an unhealthy and unsustainable method for weight management. Really it is just a crash diet.
Instead of eating solid food, a mixture of lemon juice, Grade B Medium (grade 2 in the UK) Maple Syrup, water and Cayenne pepper is drunk. This mix can be taken cold, as a cordial, or hot as a tea. The mix contains some essential vitamins and minerals.
As solid food is not eaten it is necessary to help the digestive system eliminate material and avoid constipation. This is achieved in two ways: laxative tea is taken every night, and 32 ounces of lukewarm sea salt water serves as a top-down enema in the morning. This passes through the digestive system extremely quickly30-60 minutes.
Beyonce spoke for herself:
I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!
Now, dont get me wrong Im almost entirely certain shes joking. You dont have the energy to do all of what shes doing planning and rehearsing for a show, getting back into shape for a high intensity performance on lettuce. And, while I know that she was breastfeeding for a good three months at least and that contributes greatly to your ability to lose weight post-delivery, I simply dont think she wouldve successfully lost the baby weight eating lettuce.
That being said, I got curious what other stories were out as far as how Bey was getting back into shape? Preferably not involving clearing out a row of iceberg lettuce a day?
Since her pregnancy, her body has changed, like every womans does. She says she had to get her tone back because she is definitely softer, she tells People.
But I feel my body bouncing back. Whatever was tight and muscular, like my legs, Im seeing it come back. You just have to work at it, she insists.
And working at it she does indeed with three 90 minute sessions per week but mixes it up with running, dancing and crunches on an exercise ball.
She clears up rumors about having a trainer living with her false!
When she isnt working on her fitness in the gym, she relies on a strict protein based diet in the kitchen.
Her meal plan is quite sparse, but here it is:
Breakfast egg whites
Lunch protein shake or fresh sliced turkey with capers
Snack edamame or cucumbers with vinegar, cayenne pepper and lemon, berries or a green apple
Dinner yellowtail sashimi with jalapenos and wasabi
This is why she is fit ladies; the key is in your diet and exercise regime!

Three times a week, sure, but outside of that treadmill work, what is she doing?
Following Blue’s birth, Beyoncé debuted her postbaby body at a concert just a few months later, which she attributed to a strict diet and lots of exercise. “I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on a treadmill. I ate lettuce!” she told the crowd. Of course, it’s a lot more than that. Here’s how Beyoncé’s philosophy has evolved throughout the years to help her stay healthy and fit.
Whether it’s a picture of an Oscar by her treadmill or a dress she wants to fit into, Beyoncé always has a way to motivate herself to work out. And it’s no surprise that the singer uses music as one of her main workout motivations. “I’ll put on a song that I really like and do [biceps curls with] five-pound weights [for] the whole song and just try to burn out,” she told Self.
She may be busy, but when Beyoncé has a few minutes, she knows that she can fit in a few extra calorie-burning moves, like squats, lunges, and planks, no matter where she is.
