V. Bozeman is an American soul singer, record producer and actress, best known for her recurring role as Veronica in the Fox primetime musical drama television series Empire. Bozeman began her career vocal producing songs such as “Lay It Down” by Lloyd in 2011.
V is a notable Grammy-nominated R&B crooner who recently released a new song and film. The new single titled “Juicy” coasts over the beat of classic song “Juicy” by Mtume where V caresses the R&B playlist with her sultry sweet voice. A healthy morning ritual that you follow?
V. Bozeman:
I wake up and thank God and the ancestors that I made it another day. I get up drink my bottle of water and fix my oatmeal. Then I run a mile and do my Torch online exercise.
Namita Nayyar:
You are best known for your recurring role as Veronica in the Fox primetime musical drama television series Empire, when did you decide on taking up acting?
V. Bozeman:
It’s interesting. I’ve always been an actress and in overall performing arts. I think the power of TV allowed the masses to see.
Namita Nayyar:
You had the dream of being a singer since early childhood. Very few are blessed to achieve that. Share the best part of your job as a singer? Your first album independently, from where did you draw the inspiration.
V. Bozeman:
The best part of my job as a singer is to connect with the people and touch their spirits thru song. I drew my inspiration from my life’s experience. Evolving from a girl into a full Queen.

What exercises are an integral part of your home workout routine? Five must-do morning stretches?
V. Bozeman:
- Drink water
- Run a mile
- Squats
- Yoga stretching
- Light arm weight lifting

Favorite meal of the day? What does it contain?
V. Bozeman:
My favorite meal is breakfast! Oatmeal with almonds, raisins, pumpkins seeds , flaxseed, chia seeds with oat milk. Bottle of water. Sometimes I add 1 boiled egg.

Top three healthy snack options? One diet secret you would like to share now?
V. Bozeman:
- Skinny Popcorn
- Trail mix

Your song “What Is Love” has 90 Million Views on Youtube. What attribute you assign to this tremendous success?
V. Bozeman:
The power of TV and just authentically singing from my heart.

How are you spending your time creatively during the lockdown? Share your memories of performing in 2019 music video, “Just Right”.
V. Bozeman:
I’m reading a lot. And getting really creative with social media and mastering that side of my business.
Namita Nayyar:
Social media is instrumental in today’s era. Two things you enjoy and hate about it?
V. Bozeman:
I enjoy engaging with my true supporters. I hate the negative influence it has on our youth sometime in how it takes you away from what’s real and not. Trying to keep up with unrealistic expectations.
Namita Nayyar:
Any advice you would like to give to your younger self?
V. Bozeman:
Be discerning and keep the people that celebrate your close. Slow down and be present.
Namita Nayyar:
Resolutions or goals for 2020? Where else does your interest lie?
V. Bozeman:
Wanting to be evolve into a global brand. Def want to move into marketing myself with different brands that represent me and the women that support me.

Your last album released. Share a song which is the closest reflection of your personality or speaks about your journey in music?
V. Bozeman:
I haven’t released my official album yet but I love this song on my album called “Let Me Be” it’s a woman anthem. I think women will identify with this record for sure.
