Namita Nayyar:
You move from Sweden to the United States and Europe for your professional career. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures, it must be difficult and then to adjust with modeling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?
Missé Beqiri:
My advice would be, don’t be afraid to experience and learn from new cultures. We’re so lucky to be able to travel so much with our work, so once you’re done on set, enjoy the moment you’re in and experience the culture and the country you’re in fully. It’s such a big part of your journey. Don’t sit in your hotel room and wait for your next flight – get up and out and start exploring! You grow so much more as a person and as a model because you have so much more to share with more experience and stories of your work.
Namita Nayyar:
You are a world-leading media personality, model, actress, reality television star, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Missé Beqiri:
I always stay true to myself – my kids help to keep me grounded, haha! I’m a mom, model, and creative director for my own brand Prevu – it’s a lot to juggle sometimes, but I love everything I do so it makes it easier. I feel I’m really passionate about everything I do and that helps. Recently, I launched collaboration with Misspap and that really pushed me – I was juggling being a mum, modeling jobs, being creative director at Prevu, and also making the Misspap collaboration a success! It showed me that I can do it all!
Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Missé Beqiri:
I only do Pilates and use body weights. I truly believe in that for me and it works for my body. Everyone has different body shapes and you learn to understand your own body and what works best for you. I work out every day. I have a Pilates teacher who helps me, but when she’s not around, I just hop onto YouTube to find a workout – there are so many good classes to follow on there!
Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Missé Beqiri:
I eat quite healthy generally; you have to with two kids. We eat lots of fruit, vegetables, meats, and carbs – all very balanced. Of course, lots of water and fresh juices. We’re good like that – treats like chocolates, biscuits, fizzy drinks are exactly that, ’treats’ – we don’t have them often!
