Ms. Mia St. John:
I saw Rocky when I was 10 and I dreamed of walking into that ring one day. It was a dream I had for many years and when I finally grew up, I had been through so much dysfunctions as a child, I felt I had nothing to lose. I went for it, with every ounce of determination I had in me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are a Professional Boxer, Model, Taekwondo Champion, Motivational Speaker and Businesswoman. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Mia St. John:
It was very difficult. I was taking care of my son, Julian, who had an illness. The good thing was, he was able to travel the world with me and those memories are the best of my life. After he passed away nearly 2 years ago, I have devoted my life to helping kids like him.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine that you may like to share?
Ms. Mia St. John:
I LOVE mixing my cardio with strength training, like boxing, stairs, walking lunges, etc… Weight lifting is crucial, but I have to be moving at the same time! I have a short attention span.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Mia St. John:
Very strict at my age and as a professional athlete. I eat a lot of protein and veggies, but I do sneak in my ice cream from time to time!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Tell us about the beauty care routine of a professional boxer. How do you take care of your hair and skin?
Ms. Mia St. John:
I don’t. I know I look very girly, but in reality, I’m not. lol
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your book, “The Knockout Workout” and fitness DVD was a huge success. Tell us more about it.
Ms. Mia St. John:
The book is about how to stay MENTALLY FIT as well as physically fit. Mental Health is key to staying healthy all the way around. And what you put into your body determines how you will feel. For example, too much sugar can leave you lethargic and edgy or anxious, even depressed.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding female professional boxers who all are your fans, they shall like to know from you, what they should do for their climb to ladder of success in field of boxing?
Ms. Mia St. John:
FIRST, go to college! My mother, who was from Mexico, made me get a degree before I turned pro and it was the best advice she ever gave me. EDUCATION! El Saber es Poder/Knowledge is Power.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How did you feel before and after capturing the WBC Super Welter Weight Championship of the World in 2012?
Ms. Mia St. John:
Over the moon. I waited 10 years for that rematch and when it finally happened and I won, no words for that feeling.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Who has been your greatest influence and motivator in your success in the field of your career in boxing?
Ms. Mia St. John:
The haters, the people that told me I could never do it. I was determined to prove that I could.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have participated and won so many Championships. Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences that you may have had at one of them.
Ms. Mia St. John:
What is most significant and memorable to me is starting my foundation. “El Saber es Poder/Knowledge is Power” miastjohnfoundation.org to help others that come from a similar background as mine. Young adults that come from poverty and need help with education, mental health and even homelessness. My mission is to save lives, so that other mother’s do not have to go through what I went through. Losing a child is the most devastating thing a person can go through. There is no recovery, but I hope to find healing in helping others.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
