Meagan Lee is one of the leading fashion models. She is represented by 10mgmt. She is 5ft 9 inches tall and is blonde with blue eyes.
Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar had a candid interview with Meagan Lee, one of the leading models to talk about her workout, diet, hair & skin care, beauty secrets and success story.
Namita Nayyar:
A morning ritual that you like to kick start your day?
Meagan Lee:
The first thing I do when I wake up is smile and think of something I’m grateful for! I have 2 pups that sleep next to my bed and they are always ready for morning snuggles.
Namita Nayyar:
What motivated you to take up modeling? Did it happen to you accidentally or was it a choice made by you?
Meagan Lee:
Modeling happened by accident. I was walking on the beach with my grandpa when I was 13 and was scouted. I signed with a big agency shortly after, but my studies were the priority at the time. I decided to give it a real go my sophomore year of college. I was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease, and was derailed again. However, overcoming this gave me a new sense motivation and meaning behind wanting to model. My disease taught me that we can overcome and thrive despite obstacles in life. I hope that my success despite struggle motivates others to have faith that there is light at the end of the tunnel. The only things we truly have control over are our attitudes and the kindness we share with others.
Namita Nayyar:
Modeling calls upon traveling and working at odd hours, how do you cope up with the demands? Five-time management skills.
Meagan Lee:
-True, but I love it…there is something energizing about being on the go! I always get up 40 minutes before I need to, to have a little me time before the work starts. If traveling, that means getting a cup of coffee, stretching, catching up on Instagram and news, etc. I find this time grounding, and keep me from feeling rushed.
- If I have multiple things to do in a day I always make a list
- I never drink before traveling or busy work weeks
- Lots of water! It helps keep your energy up
- If something needs to be done that takes less that 5 minutes, do it. Don’t push it off for later.

Namita Nayyar:
Share exercises that are an integral part of your workout routine? Five must-dos stretch to beat the stress? Any sport you like?
Meagan Lee:
I don’t have a single go to work out. I try to stay active, but gravitate towards what feels good in the moment. Sometimes that’s yoga, or Pilates. Other times it’s a walk on the beach or a bike ride. Anything you can do to keep the blood and endorphin flowing is a win.
Namita Nayyar:
Share your schedule on a day off.
Meagan Lee:
I am a morning person, and generally up by 5:30 or 6. I walk my pups first thing when we wake up. I use off days to catch up on laundry, go to the market, get some sunshine, make a home cooked meal, and watch TV. Normal things.
Namita Nayyar:
Your meal before and after a workout? The secret to maintaining a slim torso.
Meagan Lee:
I usually have a protein drink before working out (I love Nuzest clean lean protein and Vega), followed by a banana after my workout. Maintaining a slim torso is mostly the result of eating clean, anti-inflammatory foods.
Namita Nayyar:
Your Favourite Meal of the day would be? Why?
Meagan Lee:
I always wake up super hungry, and looking forward to putting a little bite in my body. My most enjoyed meal of the day though is dinner.
Namita Nayyar:
Top five healthy snack options? One diet secret you would like to share?
Meagan Lee:
- an avocado with a dash of salt
- Marcona almonds
- Apple or celery with peanut butter
- Watermelon
- Dark chocolate
A “diet” secret I live by is I try to not look at is as a diet or that I’m depriving myself. I have more success eating healthy if I looks at is as I’m making conscious decisions to eat foods that fuel my body and that my body needs to thrive. Also, I think everything in moderation. If you’re craving a cookie, eat a cookie, just don’t eat 7.
Namita Nayyar:
Define Women Fitness for WF viewers.
Meagan Lee:
I believe Women Fitness is being strong from the inside out. Be healthy, be positive, stay active and your body will follow.
Namita Nayyar:
Share your workout routine during a lockdown?
Meagan Lee:
Mostly yoga classes in my family room, and bike-rides (distanced from others of course).
Namita Nayyar:
Five models that you look up to and why? Brands you have worked with and would love to work with.
Meagan Lee:
I look up to…
- Karlie Kloss
- Ashley Graham
- Christy Turlington
- Tyra Banks
- Heidi Klum
Each of these women has had influence beyond just their modeling career. They use their success as a platform to create and be involved in things beyond fashion (empowering young women, discussing body image, businesses, etc) I look up to those qualities and influence.
Some of the favorite jobs I’ve done have been for the Bel Air Hotel, Moana Surf rider, Lucky Jeans, and Tyra Beauty. The crew on set makes the job over just the brand. I’d love to model for Guess, SI, Sephora, Estee Lauder, Wrangler
Namita Nayyar:
Five tips to prepare for a photo shoot.
Meagan Lee:
- lots of water
- No dairy, gluten or alcohol for 2-3 days before a shoot
- 100 sits up right before bed the night before
- if a sauna is available I’ll sit in it for 20 minutes
- research the brand and photographer if I’m not already familiar
Namita Nayyar:
Three tips on gaining social media popularity @meaganlee_1
Meagan Lee:
- be authentic
- be consistent
- engage
