Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar had a candid interview with Meagan Lee, one of the leading models to talk about her workout, diet, hair & skin care, beauty secrets and success story.
Namita Nayyar:
A morning ritual that you like to kick start your day?
Meagan Lee:
The first thing I do when I wake up is smile and think of something I’m grateful for! I have 2 pups that sleep next to my bed and they are always ready for morning snuggles.
Namita Nayyar:
What motivated you to take up modeling? Did it happen to you accidentally or was it a choice made by you?
Meagan Lee:
Modeling happened by accident. I was walking on the beach with my grandpa when I was 13 and was scouted. I signed with a big agency shortly after, but my studies were the priority at the time. I decided to give it a real go my sophomore year of college. I was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease, and was derailed again. However, overcoming this gave me a new sense motivation and meaning behind wanting to model. My disease taught me that we can overcome and thrive despite obstacles in life. I hope that my success despite struggle motivates others to have faith that there is light at the end of the tunnel. The only things we truly have control over are our attitudes and the kindness we share with others.
Namita Nayyar:
Modeling calls upon traveling and working at odd hours, how do you cope up with the demands? Five-time management skills.
Meagan Lee:
-True, but I love it…there is something energizing about being on the go! I always get up 40 minutes before I need to, to have a little me time before the work starts. If traveling, that means getting a cup of coffee, stretching, catching up on Instagram and news, etc. I find this time grounding, and keep me from feeling rushed.
- If I have multiple things to do in a day I always make a list
- I never drink before traveling or busy work weeks
- Lots of water! It helps keep your energy up
- If something needs to be done that takes less that 5 minutes, do it. Don’t push it off for later.
