Marisa Papen is a Belgian model and naturist, known for posing nude in unconventional locations. Papen was born in Limburg. After high school, she studied marketing. In 2015 she started working as a model and was photographed for Playboy in Germany (2017), Mexico (2019, with Ana Dias) and Portugal (2016). In 2016 she published a calendar in which she addressed the problem of plastic in the ocean. Papen’s goal is to desexualize the body.
A daredevil Playboy model whose stunts have caused outrage around the world has plunged to new depths – to swim with man-eating sharks. Marisa Papen dived naked off the coast of holiday island Hawaii to get up close and very personal with the terrifying marine predators. Papen believes she hoped to challenge taboos by making people rethink their ideas about nudity and sharks.
Marisa has an eternal love for life. Her ferocious spirit is willing to put both body and mind at risk to speak up for those without a voice, animals and humans alike.
In 2020 Marisa founded her own nonprofit called Earth Family (www.earthfamily.io). Earth Family generates in-house art and activism projects. They use art as a bridge to communicate unity, to open minds, to naturalize human skin and to cultivate a deep relationship with Earth.
Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with elusive Marisa Papen, a Belgian Playboy Model and Naturist here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, her beauty secrets and her responsibility to protect this planet.
Namita Nayyar:
You were born in Limburg. After high school, you studied marketing. In 2015 you started working as a model. In 2016 you published a calendar in which you addressed the problem of plastic in the ocean. Then you were featured in Playboy Portugal (2016), in Germany (2017) and Mexico (2019). This propelled your modeling career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of fashion and glamour modeling. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Marisa Papen:
2019 was also the year that I was on the cover of Playboy US. It all just happened very naturally. I believe in the law of attraction a lot, even though I never tried chasing anything, I might have manifested some of these endeavors, unconsciously :).
I’m definitely very grateful for the direction my path of life has taken me and continues to take me. I could share so many stories but I think I might keep those for a book one day, or I’ll just keep them to myself forever :).

Namita Nayyar:
You move from Limburg, Belgium to the United States and Asia for your professional career. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures, it must be difficult and then to adjust with modeling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?
Marisa Papen:
I used to move all over the World all the time in the past 5 years, for a while I was in a different country every week. If you make your body your home and you center yourself, the change of your cultural surroundings don’t matter that much. My advice would be, be as fluid as possible and keep some space for impulsivity.
Namita Nayyar:
You have one of the most desirable chiseled sculpted bodies. Women of your age aspire to be just like you. Tell us the secret to this stunning personality?
Marisa Papen:
I think all bodies are creations of art. I’m living a generally active life. I love exploring nature, hiking, swimming, diving, running or just rolling around in the grass, whatever my surroundings allow me to do.
Namita Nayyar:
You are a world-leading media personality, model, naturalist, artist, and activist. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Marisa Papen:
They all flow together very smoothly since they are all a part of me. So it’s not that hard to manage 🙂
Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Marisa Papen:
I’m always doing something, whether it is just walking around or doing some things in the house or doing some actual physical activity, I love moving my body, I rarely sit still. Not a big gym-fan though.
Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Marisa Papen:
Vegan and Organic, cooked by my own hands preferably.
Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your haircare and skincare routine.
Marisa Papen:
I always switch it up, trying different brands, always as natural and sustainable as possible tough. I’m not too interested in routine, whatever feels good in the moment.
Namita Nayyar:
It is a dream comes true for a model to appear for Playboy. You have been featured in Playboy Portugal, Germany, and Mexico. Tell us more about your experience of working with Playboy.
Marisa Papen:
It’s been all super positive. I always feel a huge sense of appreciation and respect from the people working at Playboy. I love that they have given me so much freedom to create my own stories rather than following a strict creative direction.
Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?
Marisa Papen:
Might sound cheesy, but just be YOU. The more you can be, the better! You are the only version of you, so be you in all your uniqueness.
Namita Nayyar:
In 2017 you collaborated with nine photographers to realize the first edition of Plastic Sushi. The Calendar that evolved around the plastic-problem that our Oceans are facing. You gave the profit from the sale of this calendar to “Mission Blue”, an initiative of the Sylvia Earle Alliance (S.E.A.) to ignite public support for the protection of Hope Spots—special places that are vital to the health of the ocean, the blue heart of our planet. These are all dear to your heart, tell us how you have been able to achieve and quench your thirst for giving back to society through this endeavor of yours?
Marisa Papen:
I do sense a responsibility to protect this planet, it comes from deep within. It’s also just linked to self-care since I see myself as nature, so giving to nature is basically giving to me.
Namita Nayyar:
You have done bold photo shoots with Playboy, in Egyptian temples, in the Vatican, Jerusalem, and the Hagia Sophia mosque. How you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?
Marisa Papen:
I don’t compare my body with other bodies. It’s also just a body, a small part of my being. I think it’s all about how your spirit carries your body, so I would say work on that spirit first, the body will follow!!
Namita Nayyar:
What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Marisa Papen:
Maybe congratulation for being in the search of the best version of yourself?!
Namita Nayyar:
Today social media plays a vital role in putting your message across to your followers and fans. What is your message for your social media followers?
Marisa Papen:
I haven’t been active on Instagram since the closing of my personal instagram account (about 5 years ago) but yeah I’d love to take the opportunity to say thank you to all the people who support me over there!
