Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You started playing golf at a young age of twelve years during a family vacation in Czech Republic and reached the pinnacle of success by being Russian Amateur Champion in 2004 and 2006 and Runner up in the 2006 World University Championships in Turin. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?
Ms. Maria Balikoevar:
My dad… He was always pushing me a lot. He was there for me everyday, watching me practice, helping me out. We did many trips together trying to find good golf coach and so on.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You were awarded the diploma in ‘Sports’ from the Russian State University of Sport and Tourism in 2009. How this has helped you on the ‘golf course’ in your performance and winning?
Ms. Maria Balikoevar:
Well, it did. Now I know how to get myself in a good form before the tournament. I can arrange whole schedule for myself. But at the time when I studied it was just for fun…
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your are a leading model and a professional golfer. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Maria Balikoevar:
Multi task is when you have a baby and a job :). Thats a multi-dimensional lifestyle.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Maria Balikoevar:
I do my workouts 5 days a week and honestly after doing it for so long, I can say that ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE FITNESS COACH. He is there with me everyday. Sometimes we have craze schedule when I do morning session for 1,5 hour and evening for an hour. I only do it through my winter time, to get myself stronger for the season. Its very important to have someone pushing you or maybe take a friend and workout together.
