I try not to over wash my hair as it actually makes it more greasy. Every now and then I will leave olive oil or coconut oil on my hair for the whole night tie it up, wash it off following morning and it’s much more silky and conditioned! I’ll tie it in plats which makes it wavy few days later and wear it loose which gives my hair a break from damaging hair straighteners and too much heat! For my skin, I don’t use sunbeds and don’t burn my skin in the sun, I wear an SPF 30 protector in my make up or just on skin when out doors, I exfoliate every few days with gentle skin products and sponge, cleanse and moisturise twice a day and make sure I never drag the skin and rub too hard as skin round eyes is delicate, so upward strokes going up the neck, jaw and cheeks.

Thank you, yes well I piled on weights as let myself go a bit due to depression, comfort eating after a few years of disasters , it’s also harder when you’re in your late 40’s to stay in shape so I turned to a top surgeon Doctor Ian Morgan who performed £22,000 worth of surgery on me I had Jet lipo which is less evasive than lipo this was on my waist, lower stomach, around belly button and higher abdomen, removed few pounds of fat and contoured my waste line. Amazing, also had a lower neck and face lift which gave me my jaw line back and removed sagging muscles and had my upper eyelids lifted removing sagging skin, results were amazing knocked years off me and restored some youth.

In August 2017, you unveiled your new look after undergoing a major “body” plastic surgery costing £10,000. What tips would you like to give to the other women who plan to undergo such a surgery?
Lisa Appleton:
Advice for women wanting surgery is, get in touch with a reputable surgeon like the one I had my surgery done by doctor Ian Morgan, keep the surgery natural looking, so reversing any ageing that has took place rather than going for a plastic look , follow the after care instructions that are given its very important as part of the recovery, eat healthy foods before, during and after surgery which will help the recovery period and healing.
