Lacey Asher: Car Racer, Model and Taekwondo black belt reveals her Secret to Success

Race car driver, model, businesswoman and Taekwondo black belt was first runner up in the Maxim Cover Girl competition. She is second-degree junior Olympic medalist and Founder & Owner of www.L2Fit.com. She is passionate about car racing.

She has a Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) competition license. She is also an expert in combat sports, holding a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and is also active in boxing, skydiving, target practice, and go karts. Her mantra of life is “Be happy and spread happiness is my mantra.”

She is also a successful businesswoman. Last few years she has been expanding her professional abilities, including working as a computer interface analyst. On giving back to society she has raised money for Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Lacey Asher an exceptionally talented Car Racer, glamour model and Taekwondo black belt competitor, here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, and her beauty secrets.

Namita Nayyar:

You have the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) competition license and started car racing in different formats like Track, Karting, & Rallies in 2016. This propelled your racing career to the height where you have been the leading women car racer in the US. In 2018 you participated in Gold Rush Rally, 10 Days Boston to Vegas. Tell us something about this incredible professional journey in your career in car racing?

Lacey Asher:

“I have had an impressive professional journey in the car racing industry.” I started with different formats like track, karting, and rallies, obtained a competition license from SCCA 2018, which is a prestigious organization in the US.

My participation in the Gold Rush Rally, a 10-day race from Boston to Vegas, was a testament to my skills and determination as a race car driver. Being the leading female car racer in the US was a significant achievement that showcases my passion and dedication to the sport. Overall, my journey in car racing is inspiring and demonstrates that with hard work and commitment, one can achieve great things in their chosen field.

Namita Nayyar:

Over the past decade, you have been expanding your professional abilities, including working as a computer interface analyst. Elaborate more on this endeavor of yours?

Lacey Asher:

A computer interface analyst is a professional who specializes in designing and analyzing computer interfaces, which are the ways that humans interact with computer systems. This can include things like user interfaces for software applications, website design, and the design of physical computer hardware like keyboards and touchscreens.

The role of a computer interface analyst involves conducting research to understand user needs and behaviors, designing and testing interface prototypes, and collaborating with software developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the interface is intuitive and easy to use.

To work as a computer interface analyst, one typically needs a strong background in computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field. They also need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Namita Nayyar:

You are a world-leading car racer, model, businesswoman, taekwondo black belt, computer interface analyst and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Lacey Asher:

Managing a multi-dimensional lifestyle requires effective time management, prioritization, delegation, and a strong support system. It also involves setting clear goals, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and continuously learning and adapting to new challenges.

One approach could be to prioritize tasks and activities based on their importance and urgency, and delegate or outsource some tasks to free up time for other activities. It is also important to take breaks and practice self-care to prevent burnout and maintain mental and physical health. Additionally, having a strong support network of friends, family, colleagues, and mentors can provide emotional support and guidance to help manage a multi-dimensional lifestyle.

Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?

Lacey Asher:

I suggest exercises that can be a part of a well-rounded fitness routine such as cardio exercises like running, cycling, or swimming, strength training exercises like weightlifting, bodyweight exercises like push-ups, squats, and lunges, and flexibility exercises like yoga or stretching. It is important to also prioritize hydration by drinking electrolytes before, during, and after your workout.

My top favorite is yoga. I lived in the jungle in Costa Rica for 22 days to achieve my yoga teacher training certificate, 2023. The experience was absolutely breathtaking. I lived with four other women and together, we supported each other not just through our classes, but also through the challenges of our surroundings. The experience transformed me spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally as a woman.

Namita Nayyar:

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Lacey Asher:

I have tried various diets in the past, but the one that has worked best for me involves avoiding fried foods, reducing my carbohydrate intake, and consuming smaller portions. When selecting a diet, I do not strive for perfection; instead, I aim to set myself up for success by being practical and realistic.

Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.

Lacey Asher:

Hydration is essential for maintaining healthy skin and hair. Drinking electrolytes helps to flush out toxins from the body, which can lead to clearer and brighter skin. When the body is dehydrated, the skin can become dry, flaky, and prone to wrinkles. Proper hydration can also help to improve the elasticity of the skin, making it look firmer and more youthful.

In addition to drinking water, consuming foods that are high in water content, such as fruits and vegetables, can also help to keep the skin and hair hydrated. This includes foods like watermelon, cucumber, strawberries, and lettuce.

When it comes to hair, hydration is important for maintaining its strength, shine, and flexibility. When hair is dry, it can become brittle and prone to breakage. Drinking electrolytes and consuming hydrating foods can help to keep the hair moisturized from the inside out. I so like using coconut oil for dry and split end.

Overall, staying hydrated is an important component of maintaining healthy, glowing skin and hair. So, make sure to drink plenty of water and incorporate hydrating foods into your diet for optimal health and beauty.

Namita Nayyar:

It is a dream comes true for a model to appear in MAXIM. You were the first runner up in the Maxim Cover Girl competition and appeared on Maxim in April 2020. Tell us more about your experience of working with MAXIM?

Lacey Asher:

I have always dreamed of being a model, but never thought it would actually happen. That all changed when I entered the Maxim Cover Girl competition. I always been a fan of the magazine, and the opportunity to be featured in it was a dream come true.

Worked hard to promote and gather votes for the competition. I shared my entry on social media and asked her friends and family to support me. To my surprise, I made it to the top 10 finalists, and then to the top 3. I was ecstatic when finding out I had been named the runner-up in the competition.

As part of the prize, I was given the opportunity to work for Maxim magazine. I couldn’t believe it. I had always admired the publication and was thrilled to be a part of it. I spent two days working with the team, learning about the industry, and gaining valuable experience.

I loved every moment of working with Maxim. Worked with talented photographer Dave Laus, and makeup artists Christina glam. It was a dream comes true!

Overall, my experience as a runner-up in the Maxim Cover Girl competition and the time working for the magazine was a dream comes true. I was grateful for the opportunity and looked forward to what the future holds.

Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?

Lacey Asher:

My advice to aspiring fashion models is to believe in yourself and your unique qualities. Remember that modeling is not just about looking pretty, but also about being confident, professional, and hardworking. Stay focused on your goals and work tirelessly to improve your skills and build your portfolio.

Surround yourself with positive and supportive people who can help you achieve your dreams. Lastly, never give up on your dreams and always stay true to yourself. With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Good luck!

You have done bold photo shoots with MAXIM and many other magazines How you are so body confident and advise to your compatriots?

Lacey Asher:

Here are some of my suggestions on how to make confidence the number one priority during your photo shoots:

  1. Prepare in advance: Plan and prepare for your photo shoot in advance, from selecting your outfits to practicing some poses. Being prepared will help you feel more confident and relaxed during the shoot.
  2. Choose a comfortable location: Select a location that you feel comfortable in and that complements your style. When you’re comfortable, you’re more likely to feel confident.
  3. Hire a professional photographer: A professional photographer can help you feel at ease and capture your best angles. They can also provide guidance and direction to help you feel and look your best.
  4. Practice your poses: Spend some time practicing different poses and movements in front of a mirror. This will help you feel more confident and comfortable with your body movements during the shoot.
  5. Use positive affirmations: Before and during the shoot, use positive affirmations to boost your confidence and self-esteem. Repeat phrases like “I am beautiful” or “I am confident” to yourself.
  6. Bring a friend or support system: Have a friend or family member accompany you to the shoot. Having someone there to encourage and support you can make a big difference in how confident you feel.
  7. Be yourself: Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Embrace your unique style and personality, and let that shine through in your photos.
