Kylie Campbell is a beautiful and talented model who turned into an entrepreneur after finding her passion of designing bikinis, and recently created her own bikini company.
Born and raised in California, and with a degree in arts, Kylie discovered the necessity for KOA Swim while attending college in Southern California with a healthy addiction to sun and swimwear. She found herself visualizing new styles in class then searching for weeks to find the style she created in her mind with no success. It seemed that no other brands could capture the essence of her ideas and they appeared bland and overpriced in comparison. Kylie began to put her ideas into action and learned to sew bikinis through endless practice and patience.
In the beginning, Kylie did not intend to make a business from her bikinis but others tried to buy them anyway. Her talents could not remain hidden and her bikinis were quickly in demand across the campus. Kylie could see that she was helping others and decided to create KOA Swim as a means to share her ideas with the world.
Today KOA Swim has captured a national following and continues to deliver gorgeous swimwear to beautiful women everywhere. Kylie found that no matter where you are, when you’re in a bikini, life is beautiful.
Kylie Campbell is an exceptionally beautiful and talented model. She is owner of KOA Swim, a promising bikini company. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You were born and raised in California, and with a degree in arts, you discovered the necessity for designing bikinis while attending college in Southern California with a healthy addiction to sun and swimwear. You reached the pinnacle of success when you launched “KOA Swim” your own bikini company. Tell us about your journey that took you to where you are now in the world of modeling and as an entrepreneur?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: My journey began as a young girl that liked to try on her mother’s heels and lipstick. I guess I’ve always been drawn to those things that only us women get to enjoy. As a teenager I was approached by a photographer for a surf magazine and fell in love with the idea of playing dress-up as a profession. I believed a strong education was important so I went to college after high school and studied toward my Arts degree. During my time at college I really pursued my passion of design. On Christmas I was given a sewing machine and I can remember staying up nights on end sewing amateur bikinis that fit more like raincoats than swimwear. It was these small failures that led to my large success.
Eventually I was putting together designs that fit like a dream and others were taking notice. It was a tough decision to pursue my passion and create KOA swim but it’s a decision I’m happy I’ve made. You can’t reach the sky if your feet don’t leave the ground, so I made the leap. The business is non-stop work but it gives me joy to see our KOA Beauties having fun and loving life. I model my swimwear as well as other products because I love to play dress-up and stay fit. I am truly lucky to have the opportunity to build my dreams while having a blast.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have selected a profession of being a fashion model that requires a lot of hard labor, technical soundness and excellence in different faculties to finally succeed, how do you achieve that?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I work hard at everything I do, both mentally and physically. I have a disciplined workout routine that begins with my commitment to succeed. Keeping in shape is vital for modeling and although I am naturally thin I must keep active to feel my best. I have spent time practicing for upcoming shoots and I must mentally prepare before stepping in front of the camera.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Your are a leading model, an entrepreneur and a brand ambassador. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I’d like to think that I multitask but in reality I think I focus on one task at a time until it is complete. In the morning I take a moment to think out what is most important and I make a list to keep me on track. I am not a procrastinator although I do allow myself to relax and enjoy the great things life has to offer.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have a bikini perfect body. What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I enjoy running on the beach with my dog Rocko or doing yoga to start the day. Sometimes I like to be private and workout in my living room with a yoga mat and instructional video. I mostly stick to cardio workouts and include light weights for resistance.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I don’t necessarily follow any strict diets but I stay away from sodas and fast food. I try my best to eat food that is natural and freshly prepared but within those guidelines I pretty much eat whatever I want. However, people do know me for having the biggest sweet tooth ever.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I am very careful about putting heat on my hair. Being a model and always having to curl your hair to look good on camera can definitely take its toll. On my days off, I try to stay away from putting any heat on my hair. I love throwing my hair up in a messy bun and calling it a day. Moisturizing works wonders and is a big part of my day.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding models who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in field of modeling?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: Never give up, the world of modeling can be brutal and also rewarding all at the same time. Some people will like you and some people won’t, but remember to always be yourself. As for those who are down right rude, never let them make you feel down on yourself. Take chances, put yourself out there and follow your dreams.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You must have done lot of modeling photo shoots. Tell us one of your memorable experience?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: By far my most memorable shoot was when I was 17 and still in high school. I was spotted by a photographer while walking down main street in Huntington Beach and it led to modeling for a surf magazine. It was an interesting experience because I had never taken photos in a swimsuit, so it felt a bit uncomfortable, but after it was all said and done I it was that moment that made me fall in love with bikinis and modeling.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your inspiration and motivation that led you to your success in the world of modeling?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: I’m like many other girls out there who can name one Victoria Secret model that they look up to. As for me, it’s Candice Swanepoel. She is not only beautiful, but amazingly talented and boy does she have one amazing body. Also myself although that may sound strange. I have been my own inspiration by not only following my career as a model but as an entrepreneur. I’ve pushed myself in all aspects by overcoming failure, building confidence and understanding that I have control over my life.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: With exceptional hard work you are credited with all your achievements. Do you believe that does the hand of Providence (Supreme Being) played a role in your success?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: This world is magical and although I may not know all the answers I believe that your mind is very powerful and can achieve great heights. I keep my mind in positive places to keep me moving toward my goals.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have done bikini photo shoots. They are bold and hot. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modelling?
Ms. Kylie Campbell: Confidence is key. I feel that loving yourself from the inside out is what brings you that. Everyone has their insecurities, but you cannot let them take hold of you. Do something that makes you feel sexy. Get your nails done, your hair done, eat healthy, and laugh often. Your mind is a powerhouse of confidence so let it shine.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Kylie Campbel: I love that Womenfitness.net is the go to website for the things I find important. Every time I log on I’m learning something new and interesting that I can’t wait to put into action. I believe that reading the articles found on the site have improved my life for the better.
