Namita Nayyar:
Your journey into stardom began with being cast in the reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and since then there has been no looking back. Tell us more about your journey in the entertainment industry?
Kristin Cavallari:
My overall journey has been incredible. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs but I can honestly say I’ve truly enjoyed the ride and I finally feel like I’ve found exactly what I’m supposed to be doing in this business. I realize how lucky I am to be able to be a mom first and foremost but still be able to work in this industry and have a creative outlet.

Namita Nayyar:
It is often said that there is cut-throat competition and you have to work really hard to survive here. What would be your best tips for a newcomer entering this industry?
Kristin Cavallari:
You definitely have to have thick skin. Know you are a dime a dozen but that’s why everyone should be themselves because that is the only thing that will separate you. I’ve always been true to who I am and never apologized for it.
Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to a day in your life, while shooting and on a day off.
Kristin Cavallari:
While shooting: If I’m home in Nashville then I always try to workout before the kids are up, make everyone breakfast, and get the boys to school before I’m off to whatever shoot it is. I’m usually always home before dinner and eating dinner together as a family is really important to me. Then every night is very routine with the kids: bath, clean up, snack, read books then bed. Kids are in bed by 7:15pm then I usually do whatever little things around the house that need to be done, watch a show, take a bath, or catch up on emails before lights out by 9:45/10:00pm.
Day off: Half the time I get woken up by a kid (usually my oldest, Cam) around 6:30/7:00am but I really love when I wake up before the kids so I can get breakfast and lunches going. Mornings are a little hectic right now because my husband Jay is playing football in Miami so I’m always solo. I get the kids fed, make the boys lunches for school, and get everyone dressed and out the door by 7:45am to drop the boys off. Saylor and I do a mommy and me class once a week in the mornings. I come home, workout, get lunch made, then while Saylor takes a nap I always work on Uncommon James, my shoe line, or whatever else I have going on. Uncommon James takes up most of my time right now since I’m running the company and make almost every single decision. I pick the boys up from school at 2:30pm then we come home and play or go to a park. I make dinner almost every night then the routine for bedtime is the same as days I’m working. Occasionally I’ll have coffee or lunch with girlfriends, have a meeting, or play date but overall that’s my day!
Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?
Kristin Cavallari:
I only ever lift weights. I try to workout 4-5 times a week and I work out in my basement.

Namita Nayyar:
What kind of diet do you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Kristin Cavallari:
I’m really healthy 80% of the time and the other 20% I indulge and eat whatever I want. I stay away from GMOs and cow’s milk, eat organic as often as possible, and stay away from really processed foods. I never read calories on an ingredient label, I only read the ingredients and try to eat real food.
Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your haircare and skincare routine.
Kristin Cavallari:
Thanks! I only wash my hair a couple times a week and try not to style it when I’m just running around with my kids or have a day off. Dry shampoo is my best friend. My skin is really important to me so I definitely have my routine there: morning I just rinse with water then apply peptide gel, vitamin C serum, and moisturizer. Night time I wash my face with Tatcha enzyme powder then do peptide gel followed by Retexturize cream from my facialist’s own line “Karee Hays”. It has a low dose of retin A and it honestly has changed my skin. I’ve never done Botox (not even once!), or fillers or any of that stuff but I’m all about the latest and greatest with gadgets: I have the Ziip and light stim which I use regularly.
Namita Nayyar:
You have been blessed with three wonderful children. How has your life changed after embracing motherhood?
Kristin Cavallari:
I felt like I was finally the person I was always supposed to be. I’m the happiest with my kids- they give me real purpose.
Namita Nayyar:
What health and nutrition tips would you like to give to the new mothers out there?
Kristin Cavallari:
Eat real food. Stay away from marketing and labels and read the actual ingredients.

Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding actresses, who all are your followers and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in this field?
Kristin Cavallari:
Stay true to yourself and stick to your guns. Don’t change for anyone else except yourself.
Namita Nayyar:
With an audience of over 2.9 Million followers on your Instagram account @kristincavallari you’re a social media sensation and an internet leading star. How does it feel that you are able to influence the healthy lifestyle of so many individuals?
Kristin Cavallari:
I had a fan tell me on my first book tour that she lost 20lbs by following my lifestyle and that meant the world to me. If I can have a positive impact on one other person’s life then I’ve already won.
Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to your new cookbook slated to release in April 2018.
Kristin Cavallari:
It’s called True Roots and it’s such a passion project of mine. It’s completely gluten and refined sugar free and limit dairy. I hope this cookbook shows people that they in fact can eat healthy and not miss out on anything. You can eat everything you want- as long as you choose the right ingredients.
Namita Nayyar:
