Jesinta Campbell was born on 12th August 1991. She is a pageant titleholder from Australia. She won her national title, Miss Universe Australia, on 17 June 2010. Campbell grew up on the Gold Coast, Queensland and attended Aquinas College through her schooling years.
Campbell was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2010 on 17 June 2010, gaining the right to represent Australia at Miss Universe. Jesinta competed at the 2010 edition of the Miss Universe pageant on 23 August 2010 and finished as the 2nd Runner-Up behind Yendi Phillipps (Jamaica) and winner Ximena Navarrete (Mexico). She was also designated Miss Congeniality at this pageant.
In September 2010, she became a guest reporter for entertainment and fashion subjects on Seven Network’s The Morning Show. In October 2011, she appeared as a contestant on the Nine Network’s The Celebrity Apprentice Australia as a member of Team Unity. Jesinta appeared on the Hot30 Countdown on 3rd January 2012 and filled in for Maude Garrett with Matty Acton for one week. Jesinta came back as Matty Acton’s co-host on 27th February 2012 on the Hot30 Countdown.
Jesinta Campbell had 2013 as an incredible year for a vivacious 22-year-old, as she juggles charity and media commitments alongside her modelling and ambassador roles. Jesinta’s appearance on the 13th season of the Seven Network’s Dancing with the Stars, gave her the opportunity to learn a new skill – while impressing the judges with her passion, exuberance and charm, and raising funds for the Reach Foundation in the process.
Jesinta’s other television appearances included regular roles as a weather presenter on Weekend Today, and reporting for Channel Nine’s Mornings and Getaway.
Away from the TV screens, gorgeous Jess (who grew up on the Gold Coast and spent her childhood enjoying the outdoors) was also named Australian Wonderbra ambassador to the iconic international lingerie label and featured in the 2013/2014 Spring/Summer campaign of classic Australian label Harris Scarfe, after joining the team as the face of Boutique@hs. She is also the local ambassador for 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty, as well as offered the opportunity to present QANTAS airlines’ in-flight travel programs.
During her schooling years, Jesinta was heavily involved within the community, participating in charity events and various volunteer work. She won a youth achievement award in 2008 for organizing her own charity event “Walk for Water”- raising funds for water stricken communities in Queensland. Jesinta was School Captain and finished her senior year by taking out the General Excellence Cup (all round outstanding student), senior drama award and a scholarship for Journalism at Bond University.
After winning the runway section in a modelling competition in her final year of school, Jesinta left the relaxed atmosphere of the Gold Coast behind to take the big leap into modelling at 17 years of age in Sydney. Months later she was modelling in Shanghai on a two month contract. On her return to Australia she continued to model throughout 2009.
Jesinta felt her passion for charity work, public speaking and working with people were the perfect combination for her to enter Miss Universe Australia 2010. Winning was a dream and she felt proud and honored to be an Ambassador for her country at an international level in the competition.
Later in September 2011 Jesinta was handpicked to fly to India, along with top Australian designer Wayne Cooper, to represent a major fashion event in New Delhi held by UB Spirits. The show was a huge success gaining international coverage in the fashion press for the pair.
Following this, Jesinta had literally been back in Australia for less than 12 hours before she started filming the first episode of Channel Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice. Jesinta’s chosen charity for smash hit show was REACH, a charity for disadvantaged young individuals. Jesinta raised over $160,000 making her the celebrity contestant to have raised the most funds, something she’s very proud of. Jesinta also supports many other charities including Alannah and Madeline Foundation and Jeans for Genes.
Although Jesinta’s public profile has continued to soar with her signing some very lucrative ambassador deals (ASICS Woman’s Apparel, Crown Casino, Jeep, Wonderbra, Harris Scarfe, 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty and QANTAS have enjoyed very successful partnerships with Jesinta) the sky remains the limit – as she is passionate in creating an amazing future for not only herself but others.

Jesinta Campbell Miss Universe Australia 2010, 2nd Runner-Up Miss Universe. 2010 and Miss Congeniality at same pageant in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You being crowned Miss Universe Australia 2010 on 17th June 2010 propelled your professional career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of glamour. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
What a lot of people don’t realize is how young I was when I competed in the Miss Universe Competition. I was only 18 and had no pageant experience whatsoever. I was essentially a young girl who had a simple upbringing in the hinterland of the Gold Coast. The pageant really put me outside of my comfort zone, I’d only just started wearing make up when I was about 17 and I probably only owned one or two pairs of high heels. From the outside looking it in probably appeared like a glamorous experience but for me I was like a fish out of water.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are world leading media personality, TV star, glamour model, style icon, spokesperson and a brand ambassador. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
My work life is my work life and I try to keep my personal and professional life as separate as possible which can be hard at times. I’ve learnt to manage things by keeping life pretty simple, my time off is spent at the beach or at home relaxing, I always try to find time for myself and indulge with a massage or glass of wine every now and again.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
I love Xtend Barre Pilates. It’s a combination between Pilates and ballet, it is in a studio that utilizes a bar, small weights and resistance bands. The classes go for about an hour and are set to fast paced music. I combine these classes with PT sessions with my personal trainer Dan Adair at Riley St Gym and regular walks.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
I am gluten intolerant so my diet is gluten free. I keep things pretty simple with lots of organic fruit and vegetables combined with protein, healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, nuts and seeds. But I do like to indulge so there is always a chocolate bar in the fridge.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
I put a treatment in my hair at least once a week, it needs the conditioning because it gets blow waved and styled so often. I always take a supplement that promotes hair and nail growth and I find that fish oil tablets are great for your skin!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How did you feel before and after your memorable win of second runner up in Miss Universe 2010 and winning the title of Miss Congeniality at that pageant ?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
Competing in the pageant was such an amazing experience and one that I will never forget! I have such fond memories with all the girls and the final night was such a thrill, I can’t describe the feeling of being in front of so many people representing your country! Being crowned Miss Congeniality came so unexpectedly, I had no idea I was going to win. It meant more than the crown meant to me to know that the women I had spent 3 weeks with had voted for me as the friendliest person in the competition.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to ladder of success in the field of modelling?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
Stay true to who you are and don’t be afraid to dream big. Anything is possible if you are willing to work hard enough for it.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have done bold photo shoots. How you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
I think I come across far more confident in my photo shoots than I am in real life! Sometimes it can be intimidating being on set in front of so many people, often people I’ve never met before. When I am in front of the camera I tend to pretend I am someone else to get through the photo shoot.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have been associated with a number of charities which are all dear to your heart, tell us how you have been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through this endeavor of your?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
Being in the position I am in I feel I have a responsibility to give back to those who are less fortunate than me. There is no better feeling than knowing you have helped someone out no matter how small or grand the gesture is.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have been associated with and your fans look forward to your public appearances, for the ultra-fashionable dresses you wear, who are your dress designers or do you give your personal inputs to make you look so stunning ?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
My little sister, Aleysha, is my stylist. She puts all of my outfits together. It’s great working with someone who knows you so well, she understands what I like and what I don’t so it’s a perfect partnership. I’m also lucky to be an ambassador for a range of great brands so I have access to a lot of their clothes. I love Asics for cute workout gear and Harris Scarfe for fun, fashionable looks.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Jesinta Campbell:
Message for Womenfitness.net visitors: “The best advice my parents ever gave me was to be kind to yourself and be kind to others. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to realize that this applies to all things in life – treat your body with kindness, exercise regularly, eat right and take care of yourself mentally”.
Women Fitness Team thanks Jesinta Campbell for giving her valuable time for this interview and quenching the thirst of her fans to know more about her, we shall also wish to thank Sharon Finnigan and Marie-Antoinette Issa from SF Celebrity Management whose efforts made this interview happen.
