Namita Nayyar:
Five foods you absolutely love and five you keep to a minimum.
Jamy G:
Can’t live without avocado, organic oatmeal with berries and honey, wild-caught salmon, sweet potatoes, and I love my rice. Foods I try and keep to a minimum are carrot cake, chocolate covered almonds, key lime pie, popcorn and fried anything.
Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.
Jamy G:
Eating my Omega-3s for skin and hair is number one. What you put in your body is a reflection of you. I also live in West Hollywood where if your skin and hair aren’t fabulous, everyone will tell you! [laughs] With that said, don’t believe everything you see. I wear a lot of expensive, beautiful, luxury hair — and very high-end make up!
Namita Nayyar:
Five skincare myths.
Jamy G:
- My number one skincare myth is the fact that people think they don’t need sunscreen just because you’re not in direct sunlight. But if it’s daytime — even if the sun isn’t shining or it’s cloudy, there are still UV rays reaching your skin.
- Even if you have oily skin you need to moisturize. Oily skin does not mean your skin is hydrated.
- Drinking water will not clear up your acne; however, it will keep you hydrated and keep your skin from looking puffy and sallow. If you keep your skin hydrated, it will keep you from producing excess oil that can lead to acne.
- Expensive products don’t always work the best. Sometimes less expensive products work well too.
- Hot showers are not always good for your skin. They can literally strip your skin of essential oils. Stick to lukewarm water, and then slather on the moisturizer.
Namita Nayyar:
Five athletic leisure brands you love to wear.
Jamy G:
Well, Lululemon of course! They should get me a brand deal with how much I promote them [laughs]. In fact, I’m not really sure I even wear anything else.
Namita Nayyar:
Five travel destinations on your wish list.
Jamy G:
I’ve always wanted to do the Holy land tour in Jerusalem, which include the sea of Galilee and Nazareth. Another is an African safari. I’d love to stay at that hotel where giraffes come and eat your food from your hotel window! I also want to stay in a glass igloo and see the northern lights. That sounds so dreamy to me. And there are still many parts of Asia I need to see, like Vietnam and Singapore.
Namita Nayyar:
You walked the red carpet at “Once Upon a Time on Halloween” produced by @maxeventsllc and @teatro_la held at Nightingale in Los Angeles, California USA on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Elaborate more about this milestone in your professional life.
Jamy G:
I used to always go to red carpet events but skipped the carpet because I never thought I was anyone to be photographed. But now I’m THAT girl. I’ve found the confidence to be in front of those flashing lights.
Namita Nayyar:
Tell us more about a day in the life of Jamy G?
Jamy G:
I’m an early riser and love my mornings! I start by getting a healthy, nutrient-dense breakfast in me and having an amazing workout or take a strength class. Then I like to hop on the laptop or iPhone and start to get things going with work opportunities and collabs. There is always an event going on and I’m not a big outfit repeater, so I like to scope out the shops and dig for cool pieces to put together for my nights out. I love cooking my organic meals. But if I’m not doing that then I’m usually at a fun, trendy restaurant in Hollywood or Beverly Hills. I love my simple, crazy life and am truly grateful for it.
