Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar had a candid interview with Isabelle Mathers, Australian Supermodel where she talks about her workout, diet, hair & skin care, beauty secrets and success story.

Namita Nayyar:

A healthy morning ritual that you follow to kick start your day on a positive note?

Isabelle Mathers:

I love to start my days by stretching for 5-10 mins after I wake up, making my coffee, getting ready & heading to the gym. After a workout, I go home, make breaky & a protein shake & then I’m ready to start the day!

Namita Nayyar:

You began modelling professionally at what age. The first brand you worked for? What motivated you to join the modelling industry?

Isabelle Mathers:

I started modelling when I was 15! The first brand I ever worked for was a local Bikini brand on the Gold Coast. I never pictured myself being a model growing up so when it just started happening for me, I took that as my motivation to give a good shot!

Namita Nayyar:

The biggest misconception people about Isabelle Mathers that you would like to dismantle?

Isabelle Mathers:

I showcase a lot of my modelling on my socials so be assured my everyday life is not as glamorous! Instagram is definitely a highlight reel. You’ll find me in my pajamas at home most days outside of work – I am the biggest home body ever!!

Namita Nayyar:

Share cardio & strength exercises that are an integral part of your workout routine? Five must-do mornings stretches? Any sport you like?

Isabelle Mathers:

For me, I only incorporate about 10 minutes of cardio at the beginning of my work out as a warm up, I really like skipping.

I love weighted hip thrusts, squats, lunges & core exercises.

For stretching, I love a downward dog, froggy stretch on the floor & anything yoga related, following a yoga flow in the morning is something I love to do.

Namita Nayyar:

Introduce us to a day in your busy life? How do you balance your routine as a model?

Isabelle Mathers:

A busy day in my life would consist of an hour training session in the early morning, up to an hour’s drive to a location of a shoot, shoot an 8 hour day, drive home, cook dinner, shower then bed & sometimes get up and do it again the next day! Sometimes it’s a lot but I wouldn’t change it! I love my job & my life.

Namita Nayyar:

Your meal before and after a workout? The secret to maintaining a slim torso. Your say on body shaming?

Isabelle Mathers:

I prefer to train of a morning on a empty stomach, although I do have my coffee before working out to wake me up. After training, I love a big meal, 2 pieces of avocado toast with eggs & a protein shake. Definitely don’t have any secrets to maintaining a slim torso. Eat well, exercise regularly & your body will love you for it!

Your Favourite Meal of the day would be? Top three healthy snack options? One diet secret you would like to share?

Isabelle Mathers:

My favourite meal of the day would definitely be dinner, yummmm. My top 3 healthy snacks would be: 2 handfuls of baby tomatoes, some brown rice crackers with dip & carrot with hummus! Something I love to follow with my diet is eating healthy throughout the week & on the weekend eats whatever you want whenever you want! 80-20 rule is great!

The hairstyle you love to match with an evening gown?

Isabelle Mathers:

Either loose waves or really curly! I love wearing my hair out.

Isabelle Mathers:

Authenticity: The right people will love you for you. Be you, you’re the only you!

Consistency: You can never have too many diverse photos or too much work under your belt!

Showing your versatility is a great way to showcase yourself.

Work on your poses, facial expressions & photos as much as you can!

Patience: If you get knocked down, get back up again! Ive learnt that one no, might lead you to a better yes. Stay patient, all good things come to those who wait 🙂

Two models that you look up to and why? Brands you would love to work with.

Isabelle Mathers:

I love Emily Ratajkowski, I love her realness & how she is completely herself! I also look up to Bella Hadid, she inspires me to keep pushing to that end goal, and her work is amazing.

I would absolutely love to work with Victoria Secret, Dior Beauty & Vogue.

Namita Nayyar:

Five tips to prepare for a swimwear photo shoot.

Isabelle Mathers:

Oooo, definitely a slight change in diet for the 2 days before the shoot, sticking to low calorie/low carb meals. I like to make sure I work out at least 4 times in the week before a swim shoot. Taking care of your skin & drinking plenty of water!
