Barley

Barley

Barley grows wild in many damp places. Its leaves are broader than many other grasses. A field of ripe barley is a beautiful sight and seems to radiate a pale yellow light. Apart from its nutritional value (rich in iron and Vitamin B), barley has sound medicinal virtues. It cools the body, strengthens the nerves and remedies many disorders. It is an excellent tonic food during convalescence. Barley bread can also be bought at health food shops and bakeries in big cities.
