Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness catches up with Hayley Heidi on her spectacular journey into the modelling realm and her love for organic living.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Walk us through your incredible modeling journey so far and tell us how it all began?
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
I never thought I would fall into modelling. I am petite and curvy and where I am from in UK only girls who are stick thin like super models get fashion or catalog endorsements. But my body type is now suddenly fashionable so I guess I was lucky. I entered an online contest which I won and was sent a box of lingerie to shoot in, I then flew to Florida and Bahamas for exclusive shoots with top photographers and was scouted by a photographer for Playboy International. I’ve also featured in several US mens’ lifestyle and swimsuit magazines.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to a day in your life.
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
I wake up in the morning I have a coffee and muesli and I check my social media and emails. I then walk to the gym which is an hour each way and an hour of weights and routines. I then cook something healthy and spend time on my studies and time with my daughter.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
Walking. I am a big walker and if I have a busy day and don’t have time to work out I make sure to go on a big walk whether it’s to the supermarket or for a day out at the beach. I walk everywhere with my daughter too so I do a lot of power push chair walking. I also love cycling but since having a baby, walking seems to be the safest option.
My fitness routines including leg weights almost every day, so 3 sets of 20 leg curls. I also do 3 x 20 squats with the Smith Machine or free weights. I do step up and use the fitness balls for ab works. I also do donkey kicks and planks.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
I have completely cut out white flour from my diet and most empty carbs. I don’t eat pasta or white rice or white bread. I stick to whole grains and wheat option always. I try to eat sugary foods mainly in the mornings and early afternoons so I can burn the energy through the day. Then at night time I try to have something packed with protein like quinoa and chicken. I am a chocolate lover and do find myself snacking on dark chocolate from time to time. It gives me energy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your haircare and skincare routine.
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
Honestly my secret to great skin is that 90% I don’t wear make up. My skin is always free to breathe and sweat and I always take it off before bed when I do get glammed up for a night out or a photo shoot. Make up free days are so important to keep skin healthy. My next big tip is that I wear sun cream pretty much whenever I leave the house. I lived in the desert for a few years and learned how quickly the sun can damage your skin if you don’t cover up so now it’s just habit. I do have a selection of moisturizers. I am a fan of evening primrose oil and hyalronic acid in day and night creams. I think a clarisonic brush is also amazing. And of course, drinking lots of purified water, constantly.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have graced the cover and featured in various magazines such as Playboy. Give us your Top 3 Tips to give your best shot in a magazine photoshoot.
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
Ok this is easy.
1.Get a good night sleep the night before! A photo shoot with a hangover or being tired is the worst – I did it once and would never do it again. It is written all over your facial expressions if you have not slept well and it just ruins the photos so it’s not worth it!
2. Eat. So many girls starve themselves befor a shoot. I always eat something very light and small and usually have a coffee but always eat something like a couple of protein bars and reward myself with something pretty big and tasty afterward. Again, being hungry makes the worst ever facial expressions.
3. Always invest in a good MUA and Hair Stylist. It will completely transform your photos and give them the professional look that is needed. And always try to give variety in your poses there’s no harm in showing a little personality.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Tell us your current Top 5 Fashion Must-haves.
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
1. In the Winter months, I can’t go anywhere without my Burberry scarf.
2. A good pair of yoga pants and sports bra. I have to be able to work out almost every day so this is a must have in my suitcase.
3. A baseball cap or visor for when I need to throw my hair in a pony tail and go for a long walk or hide from the world.
4. I love a good pair of knee high boots. Boots make any outfit look good whether it’s a short black dress or over a pair of jeans.
5. A gorgeous going out dress for a any spontaneous dinner date that may pop up. I always have to travel with at least one glamorous outfit.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Since you are a devoted organic & cruelty free products user, share with us your Top 5 Organic Foods.
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
I try to promote and sell organic and cruelty products only. For example, I won’t use mink eyelashes or wear furs. The teas I have promoted and even the teeth whitening kit have all used all botanical and organic products. The sports wear I have modeled are also made from eucalyptus.
1. BooTea – I am just an all round tea lover so any herbal teas containing herbs with health benefits such as dandelion, burdock, fennel, fenugreek, anything that detoxes the digestive system they are all great to me.
2. A1 Active Wear who is one of my sportswear- durable sports wear using sustainable grown eucalyptus fabric. @a1aactivewear
3. Sulfate and parraben free shampoo & conditioner. I really like ones containing shea butter and black African soap at the moment. Coconut oil is also amazing for a deep moisturizing hair treatment.
4. I am a really big fan of Frankincense. It has so many endless Health and medicinal benefits. I like products that contain it and I even shipped raw Frankincense cubes from Oman to add to my teas and body creams.
5. Aloe Vera juice is also amazing to drink and as a skin care ingredient. It completely hydrates your skin and helps your hair grow.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding models, who all are your followers and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in this field?
Ms. Hayley Heidi:
Start small because the first step is always the hardest. Stay focused as so many things can distract you in life and before you know it time will just whizz by. And never wait around thinking someone needs to ‘discover’ you to do this, you can be your own biggest cheerleader and will surprise yourself how much you can achieve on your own if you just have faith and believe in yourself.
