Gabriela Panduru is a Romanian born, bikini athlete, fitness model, fashion model, fashion blogger, fashion writer and successful publicist who lives in New York City. Modeling for the hottest designers on the runaway, in print and photoshoots with the top photographers in the country. Gabriela love to represent the best in industry. Being a successful publicist she work with many successful designers, last two years at Couture Fashion week, NY fashion week represent talented designer: Alexandra Popescu -York Couturewhi is also her great friend!

Gabriela Panduru is exceptionally beautiful, talented and accomplished model & professional bikini competitor. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You must have had interest in sports and physical activities since childhood. Later you were encouraged & motivated to compete in fitness competitions. You reached the pinnacle of success by winning many professional bikini competitions including 2015 NPC Tri-State Championships in Masters over 35. Tell us about your journey that took you to the the world of fitness and as a winner in Professional Bikini competitions?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: Thank you Woman Fitness for having the pleasure to seat down with you and spread my message of health and fitness. I was always in love with being active, playing handball and track runner in high school and then, first time I step in a gym I was hooked and it become a lifestyle for me, at that time in Romania there were not many woman who were lifting weights and people look at you a little wired but nothing stopped me to follow my passion: fitness.
I was inspired by the guys in my gym who was bodybuilders champions, I started going to see their competitions and there I started to dream and wished one day to be on a stage. Many years later in USA I found out about bikini fitness and I knew that this is the category that is perfect for me!!
I started working with professional coaches who got me prepared for these competitions, training smart, following a healthy diet and attending fitness competitions. You need a budget for doing competition, coaches fee, competition fee. I want people to understand the whole process, you not just show up.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: How your interest and experience in health & wellness and background of many years in Professional Bikini competitions has helped you in carving your present profession of being a fitness model and fitness expert?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: Having 15 years of fitness lifestyle, being a natural athlete, I always studied, read, watched videos, attending seminars and always wanted to learn. I took my personal trainer certification just in order to understand all process of training, to change your physique, to live a healthy lifestyle ! Working with the best in the business, networking with other athletes always brought you a lot of information and you need to take what is the best for you!

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: My exercise routine always change, in my competing season it is very different then offseason. Every week I check with my coach and she will adjust my training depending on how my body look at the time! But I can say I train each body parts once or twice a week and cardio after my weights training !
Sample:
- Moday: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
- Wednesday: Legs and Abs
- Friday: Back and Biceps
- others days: Rest
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: My diet is based only on healthy foods: healthy carbs (sweet potatoes, lentil, beans..), healthy fats(avocados, nuts, flax seeds..) proteins (fish, chicken..) and greens. Eating 5, 6 small meals a day, drinking a gallon of water, proper sleep and using multivitamins, minerals and sometime organic protein powder to build my muscle during the season.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a fitness model, NPC professional bikini competitor and a brand ambassador?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: Being a brand ambassador and athlete I just want to help people to understand that in general it is in everybody’s power to build their dream physique, I don’t want to see people be insecure with their bodies! All they need to do is being more selective with their food.( when you eat think about: what nutrients this food bring to my body, how healthy is this fuel?) And understand you need to exercise at least 3 days a week, it is a realistic goal and am sure everyone can manage their time to have a great work out! Be persistent, seat goals, find a friend to work out together, motivate, stay positive and be happy!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: Eating healthy is the best way to see your hair and skin glowing. It is one of the benefit of healthy life style, great supplements for glowing skin and hair are Collagen and Vitamin E. I love to use coconut oil for face and hair . And all kind of homemade masks (made by eggs, olive oil, lemon, yogurt, honey), drinking one gallon of water a day always help your skin and hair look stunning!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Fitness modelling is about bold photo shoots. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: Fitness modeling like all modeling’s jobs is being comfortable with your own body and realize that you are there to send a message and inspire others, or just celebrate yourself, your hard work. Always be professional, respectful with all the people who are part of your photoshoot, it’s a team work and you need to be very nice. Let yourself shine that is your moment.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding professional bikini competitor girls who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to ladder of success in field of professional bikini competitions?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: I always like to keep real to all my fans and tell them please don’t try to be nobody else, be the best version of yourself. We all have that spark in us, just focus on you, all your energy, be your own masterpiece! And another very important advice: give yourself time to see the real results, give yourself good 90 days so that to bring little by little your body change. Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us how you felt before and after winning the 2015 NPC Tri-State Championships in Masters over 35?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: It’s so funny I visualize so many time in my mind the winning moment. Every time an athlete step on stage she is there to win, in that day I felt I was so prepared, everything was on point ..a yes confirmation came, I won 1st place. I just was very grateful for all amazing people who supported me to get there: my family, my close friends, my coach, my posing coach, my personal trainers ! I feel great I made them proud, but always I will stay humble !

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your biggest influence and motivation in your path to success?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: I have been following fitness scene for so many years that I can say all athletes who are there are my inspiration. I am a very ambitious and disciplined person who know how to get inspired !
People I work with, they inspire me a lot, I have my coach Ifbb Pro Patrice Vignola who is a kind and sweet lady, who is there for me at every step, taking crucial decisions for me, I need to trust her a lot in order to let myself in her hands! My posing coach gorgeous Ifbb Pro Yorkanis Francis who make sure my stage presence is on point and my sponsor team Old Skool Iron who motivate me every day! Inspiring so many people I myself feel amazed. I have friends who quit alcohol, changed their life style, being in competing just because of me, that feeling is a huge accomplishment, I have always been a trend setter!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about a memorable experience you still remember about one of the fitness competitions that you wish to share?
Ms. Gabriela Panduru: For me attending a fitness competition, meeting so many legends is a dream experience. First time when I saw the head judge legendary Bev Francis, I wanted to run on the stage and scream so loud. I was so overwhelmed to meet her, it is a great feeling to see your fitness idols in person!
