Namita Nayyar:
People in general know very little about synchronized swimming. What inspired you pick this sport and pursue it as a career?
Francesca Dallapé:
I started by chance at six years old, even my parents didn’t know that there was a diving course in my city but I tried and I liked it immediately!
I continued because it is a sport that gave me so much stimulation, because every day I had to face so many fears to make increasingly difficult dives, it is a sport in continuous evolution and transformation.
Namita Nayyar:
You took your first swimming lessons when you were in the first grade and since then there has never been a look back. What does your training routine comprise of in a day?
Francesca Dallapé:
When I went to school, obviously the morning it was dedicated to lessons but, every day I spent all the afternoon in the pool!
After school I’ve been enlisted to the Army Sport Group and I started to do two workouts a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
