For months, people around the globe have been forced to stay home and social distance. The quarantine cooking craze has set in and many people who’ve never touched more than their microwave are getting their hands dirty and diving into experimenting with different recipes. Since people are making less trips to the grocery store these days to avoid contact with others, it can be a struggle following recipes when you are missing ingredients and it is a challenge to come up with fresh ideas every night.
Nealy Fischer, the founder of The Flexible Chef and author of the best-selling book, Food You Want For The Life You Crave, can show you how to mix, match, and substitute ingredients to make any meal fit your preferences.
As a mother of four, home chef, yoga teacher, world traveler, and lifestyle entrepreneur, Nealy’s mission is to inspire people around the world to live their most vibrant and crave-worthy lives.
The Flexible Chef is a global food and lifestyle brand with a large social media presence, consisting of blog shares, inspirational photos, and step-by-step YouTube videos where Nealy teaches her healthy yet flexible approach to cooking and eating to her tens of thousands of fans. Her book, Food You Want For The Life You Crave features over 100 fresh, gluten-free and flexible recipes that create craveable and energizing dishes—all while saving time and banishing meal prep stress. Nealy’s adaptable cooking system gives readers a simpler recipe for success, both in and out of the kitchen.
Nealy also hosts a streaming cooking show called ‘Nealy’s Flexible Food’ on FMTV-Food Matters and ‘Nealy’s Kitchen’ on FabFitFun. Her co-hosts are often her two youngest children and the kid-friendly episodes focus on healthy, Instagram-worthy, meatless, and gluten-free meals, like On-The-Go Breakfast Banana Pops and Spaghetti Squash Pizza Crust. She also teaches Nealy’s Flexible Flips. Some Flips health-ify recipes (think pizza quiche that tastes just like a real slice of pizza); other Flips transform taste, giving you ultimate freedom to be creative, just like a real chef. Have a flop? No worries–there are Flips to salvage those burned brownies or under-baked banana bread.
Imagine, a kale eating woman married to a burger-loving man; Nealy had to learn to get flexible in the kitchen and in her robust life. I am sure many people can relate to this.

The Flexible Chef brand grew from Nealy’s two decades teaching in the health and wellness space as a fitness/yoga instructor and a health coach. However, she didn’t always live such a flexible lifestyle herself. Nealy admits she was put on her first diet at age 11, which sparked her constant battle experimenting with every fad diet on the market. It wasn’t until she began practicing yoga 18 years ago that she learned what it felt like to be flexible, while remaining in proper body alignment, and she realized she could also apply this balanced approach to her cooking.
