Namita Nayyar:
You were born in Tehran, Iran. At the age of 16, you obtained your Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Iran. Later you migrated to Los Angeles, CA, and then to South Dakota from where you obtained your Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences. Today you are a leading celebrity cosmetic specialist, entrepreneur, fashion model, and influencer based in Los Angeles, CA. Tell us more about your professional journey of exceptional hard work, tenacity, and endurance.
Fay Asghari:
I was born in Tehran, Iran. I went to college at age 17 and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Microbiology in Iran. I migrated to Los Angeles, CA right after my graduation. I decided to pursue nursing because I love helping people and I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives, so I obtained my 2nd Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After completing my education I went to Jamaica on a mission trip and helped the underserved community. That trip was one of the most rewarding and life changing experiences of my life. After that I obtained my nurse practitioner’s degree in 2022
I always had a passion for cosmetic and aesthetic field. I thought this is where I can be most helpful to my patients and at the same time feel fulfilled with my career as a nurse practitioner. I started my aesthetic career by taking as many aesthetic courses as possible. I have worked for some of the most reputable plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, CA and I have treated hundreds of people for their cosmetic needs ever since. I also have a passion for teaching, and I have traveled all around the state to teach health care providers on different medical procedures. Last year I opened my own medical spa, called Spa Medica Aesthetic, in Brentwood, CA. It has been an amazing experience and I am so excited for the future of this journey.
Namita Nayyar:
It is a dream for a model to walk the ramp at LA’s fashion week. Tell us more about this spectacular achievement of yours.
Fay Asghari:
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a model and work in the fashion industry. Unfortunately, woman in Iran do not have the right to freely express themselves and they have to live under a restrictive Islamic law. I could not even express my passion for beauty through make up and my own outfits. I was arrested multiple times by the Islamic regimen for wearing simple make-up and not wearing proper hijab. I always had to suppress my passion for fashion while I was living in Iran.
When I moved to the US, I decided to follow my dream for fashion while I was focusing on my education. I started expressing my sense of fashion through my social media. Soon after, I walked for LA fashion week a few times which was like a dream come true for the kid inside me. I also have been featured on the cover of multiple fashion magazines. Being involved in the fashion industry has definitely been super fun and exciting for me.
Namita Nayyar:
You are the world-leading social media personality, model, cosmetic specialist, entrepreneur, influencer, blogger, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Fay Asghari:
It is definitely challenging to manage work, school and social media altogether. I try to stay focused on what is truly important for me and my future and keep a positive outlook on life. Learning how to prioritize my tasks and time management has been super helpful. I wake up early in the morning and go over my to-do list. I start my day by doing the most important and challenging tasks of the day and finish my day with the easier ones.
Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Fay Asghari:
I love to stay physically active and fit. It is very important to me to move my body at least half an hour to 45 minutes daily. My fitness regime consists of strength training and yoga. I do weight lifting 3 to 4 times a week and I do yoga 1 to 2 times a week. I also like to spend time in nature, so I go on a hike at least once a week. I also enjoy walking and dancing on a daily basis.
Namita Nayyar:

Fay Asghari:
I try to be consistent with my abs work out and include at least 15 minutes of abs exercises in my daily workout routine. I also do some type of cardio workout every day which helps burn fat in the belly area. Diet also plays an important role in toning abs. I generally eat healthy, and I try to include a lot of protein in my diet
Namita Nayyar:

Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.
Fay Asghari:
I think the secret to glowing and healthy-looking skin is to eat a healthy and well-balanced diet, to use skin care products every day, to protect your skin from UV rays and to keep your body hydrated.
I believe one of the most important products in the skin care regimen is sunscreen. I never leave my house without wearing my sunscreen. The second most important product is Retin A which speeds up the skin cell turnover and improves the skin tone and texture.
I also do in office skin care treatments such as micro needling with PRP and chemical peels on a regular basis. These two amazing treatments stimulate collagen production, promote skin tightening and improve skin tone and texture.
Namita Nayyar:
Five skincare myths.
Fay Asghari:
1-The more expensive products work better for your skin.
2-Dark eye circles mean you are sleep deprived.
3-Dermal fillers and Botox make you look unnatural.
4-Start Botox treatment when you have formed lines and wrinkles.
5-You do not need sunscreen on cloudy days.
Namita Nayyar:
Five athletic leisure brands you love to wear.
Fay Asghari:
Lululemon is my absolute favorite athletic brand. I also love Alo, Nike, Adidas and APL.
Namita Nayyar:
Five travel destinations on your wish list.
Fay Asghari:
I love traveling to different countries and experiencing new cultures and foods. I have traveled to 12 different countries all around the world last year and enjoyed every second of it. I have Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Bali and South Africa on my wish list, to visit soon.
Namita Nayyar:
In the pursuit of giving back to society at this young age you strive to grow and have catapulted your platform to teach and care for others. You did a medical mission trip to Jamaica where you cared for pregnant and single mothers afflicted with disease and poverty. Your studies in nursing and patient care have landed you a position as a Nurse Educator, where your travel around the country leading workshops and classes, teaching doctors the benefits of advanced medical techniques in treating their patients. Tell us more about this humane personality of yours and how as a young celebrity in the world of star blitz you quench your thirst to do so much for the needy and the underprivileged.
Fay Asghari:
One of the main reasons I switched my career from microbiology to nursing was my desire to help people. The Jamaica trip made me realize how blessed we are living in U.S. and having access to sophisticated health care system. It also opened my eyes to the value of education and giving back as an educator. That experience sparked my passion for teaching and taking care of patients.
I feel so grateful for my current job to have the skill sets and the tools to help people look and feel their best. It makes me so happy to hear from my clients that they feel more confident leaving my office. Unfortunately, aging can sometimes negatively impact one’s self-perception and confidence. Slight improvement in someone’s appearance or the flaw that has been bothering them can be a game changer for them.
Namita Nayyar:
You are an American Immigrant Icon which so many prospective American immigrants wish to live. You once said in an interview the five keys to achieving the American dream are Persistence, Positive Mindset, Hunger, Mentors, and Gratitude. Elaborate more about these virtues one should possess for those who are contemplating immigrating to the US.
Fay Asghari:
Be persistent and never let anyone or anything get in your way. America provides so many opportunities to achieve a successful life. Don’t get discouraged because a few of your attempts did not work.
Positive mindset: Never forget about the widespread levels of healthy opportunities here that can give you a ladder to climb to success.
Hunger: Be hungry for the life you want. They say you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. Never back down or be discouraged from a missed shot.
Mentors: Surround yourself with the people and mentors who are living the life you want to live. There is an abundance of people working in incredible fields and industries who are happy to help anyone if you just make the effort to call.
Gratitude: Always be thankful for the journey and not just the destination. Sometimes we get so caught up in the rat race that we forget to enjoy the process.
Namita Nayyar:
You are a celebrity cosmetic specialist and as a cosmetic injector you once wrote “My philosophy is that ‘less is more’ with injectables! My goal is not to alter my client’s natural beauty, but to enhance and maintain their beautiful look” Elaborate about this cosmetic procedure for the potential women who are planning to get the same done.
Fay Asghari:
Cosmetic injections, if done right, can make people’s skin appear softer, younger, refreshed and rejuvenated rather than artificial and unnatural.
I try to maintain my client’s natural appearance by re-building the facial volume that they have lost over time due to natural process of aging.
No face ages the same way and that is why I approach each client’s cosmetic needs differently. I always start with a consultation, so I can take note of my client’s current appearance and create a tailored solution that will rejuvenate and refresh their appearance by pinpointing the specific areas that need attention. These treatment plans are tailored according to the individual facial structure, signs of aging, the depth of the patient’s lines and the strength of their facial muscles in order to give the most natural and youthful appearance.
Namita Nayyar:
During the Covid pandemic many women were infected around the globe. Tell from your own experience how it has affected their individual skin and what advice you have for them.
Fay Asghari:
Face masks affected the skin of many people. Face masks cause a humid and sticky environment around the face and the bacteria that cause acne thrive in this environment. This lends itself to breakouts around the nose, cheeks, mouth and chin. The break outs people experienced due to face masks were small pimples, like rosacea. My recommendation was to wash their face with a cleanser containing 2% to 5% benzoyl peroxide, to use a non-comedogenic (oil-free) moisturizer on the face after washing and to change their masks frequently.
Namita Nayyar:
On what factors does skin aging depend?
Fay Asghari:
Skin aging is multifactorial and can be caused by environmental factors such as sun damage, smoking, genetics, nutrition, and other factors. For instance, smoking can produce free radicals, once-healthy oxygen molecules that are now overactive and unstable. Free radicals damage cells and cause premature wrinkles. However, the greatest single factor is sun damage. The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) light damages certain fibers in the skin called elastin. The breakdown of elastin fibers causes the skin to sag, stretch, and lose its ability to snap back after stretching.
Namita Nayyar:
What preventive actions one should take that can slow the effects of skin aging?
Fay Asghari:
Our environment and lifestyle choices can cause our skin to age prematurely. By taking some preventive actions, we can slow the effects that this type of aging has on our skin.
- Protect your skin from the sun every day by using sunscreen that is broad-spectrum, SPF 30 (or higher) every 2 hours during the day.
- Minimize repetitive facial expressions by getting Botox treatment.
- Eat a healthy and well-balanced diet that consists of plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
- Stimulate your own collagen production and new cell production by micro needling and chemical peel treatments.
- Stop smoking
- Exercise regularly. Moderate exercise improves circulation and may give the skin a more-youthful appearance.
Namita Nayyar:
Today every woman of 40+ wish to know from you as an expert cosmetic specialist, what anti-aging procedures and at what age should be considered to be done by a cosmetic specialist just like you.
Fay Asghari:
With the right approach and regular maintenance of cosmetic injections, it is possible that people can enter their 40s or 50s looking a decade or younger than they otherwise would.
Cosmetic injections such as Botox and dermal fillers can help delay the formation of lines and wrinkles and restore lost volume. Botox treatment can stop the involuntary contractions of the facial muscles that create the lines in those areas and ensure that existing lines and wrinkles don’t become deeper.
Dermal fillers are placed underneath the skin to restore lost volume, soften wrinkles, and rejuvenate the appearance of the skin. Some fillers stimulate the body to produce collagen which helps delay the aging process.
Namita Nayyar:

You have done bold photo-shoots for a number of fashion magazines such as QP, Fienfh, and Malvie magazine, and also on your Instagram handle @fayasgharii. How you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?
Fay Asghari:
Body confidence is the ability to feel at home in your body, no matter your size or shape. I have been always taking good care of my body both physically and mentally outside of social media. Working out and eating a healthy diet is my lifestyle and I try to follow that lifestyle on a continuous basis. An optimal body shape cannot be achieved overnight.
It is important for everyone to recognize that the world is home to a sea of diverse bodies. When you live with body confidence, you free up a great amount of energy that you can then focus on your goals and priorities.
Namita Nayyar:
Your idea of a perfect date?
Fay Asghari:
For me, it would be that my partner listens to me and genuinely wants to understand me, without prejudice. We talk, we laugh about silly things, and just enjoy the moment…that would be an absolutely perfect date!
Namita Nayyar:

Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding social media model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you about their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?
Fay Asghari:
My advice to younger girls is to stop comparing themselves and their journey to other people and instead refocus all that energy internally and focus on how you can become the best version of yourself. Be your own cheerleader.
It’s always great to have goals to aspire to, but make sure they are realistic, and also makes sure they are what you really want- without the influences of the outside world dictating what you should be doing with your life.
Namita Nayyar:
