Eugenia Kuzmina is a top international model and an actress is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your modeling career started at the young age of 13 years when you participated in a Ives Saint Laurent runway show and latter propelled to the height where you have been at the top of the world as a leading model, an actress in films and television. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
LOL! Thank you for calling it a “fairy tale”! It’s such a fun way to describe my career although it has not been all “fairy tale”! I believe everyone has a great story to tell and I live mine one day at a time. To be really honest, nothing on my journey thus far has been just “pure luck”. I was born in a country that restricted most creative ambitions, but I always believed in pursuing my passions. I was lucky to stumble into modeling and I succeeded by working hard because let’s face it…how many girls really make it in the the competitive fashion industry? No many. I believe you have to work on not just your physical appearance but also on your mind. You have to keep focused, show up on time, be in the moment and always remember to be professional. For me listening, positive thinking and flexibility are as important as eating healthy and exercising every day!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have selected a profession of acting and modeling that requires a lot of hard labor, technical soundness and excellence in different faculties to finally succeed, how do you achieve that?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
You have to love what you do and keep your mind on the goal of achieving the end result, whatever that may be! Many days I put in a full 24 hours and often times there are no guarantees in the end. I have shot for magazines and campaigns for hours in uncomfortable conditions like being in a bathing suit in the snow and in the end, they end up not using those particular set ups. It is not all fun and games but you keep doing it. I have prepared for hours and hours for auditions but I did not get the part but I keep moving on to the next audition. I am still fascinated by the fashion and Hollywood industries so the hard work only makes me more determined and willing to keep learning everything about my crafts.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine would you like shall like to share?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
On a daily basis I do Bikram Yoga. It has become very popular. It is basically yoga in a room that is very hot so you end up sweating a ton. I also do Krav Maga and I enjoy lifting weights to keep my muscles toned.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you have some special diet or do you have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
I don’t believe in being strict on myself when it comes to diet although I do eat low calorie foods like fruits and vegetables and I try to avoid fatty foods and foods that are heavy in carbohydrates. I believe in trusting my body to know what’s good for me based on how much energy I have and how healthy I feel. All of our bodies are different and what foods work well for some might not work well for others. We all know what is healthy and what is not. It is common sense. We just need to trust ourselves to make informed decisions and every once in a while we need to treat ourselves to a food that may not be the best for us. A scoop of ice cream every now and then is good for our souls!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make it look so stunning?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
Thank you for the lovely compliment. I owe some of it to the biosil supplement I take every night. I also stay out of the sun as much as possible. Beyond that, I owe it to being happy. When you are happy and enjoying life, your body reflects on the outside what you are feeling on the inside.
Eugenia Kuzmina on Women Fitness:
I am so glad that websites like Womenfitness.net exist. Women take care of everyone else in their lives and we need places to go where we can take care of ourselves too. We need resources like WomenFitness.net for education and knowledge! I only have one me and you only have one you. If we are not the best we can be then we often can’t take care of others in our lives. Sites like this help us care for ourselves and offer us a temporary escape. My wish for women everywhere is to feel whole and powerful. We need to be responsible for our own lives and to follow every desire and every dream!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Please give some advice and motivational words for the inspiring and budding actresses and models who all are your fans. What should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in acting and modeling?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
My advice is to recognize what’s unique about you as a person and to identify what you’re passionate about. Acting and modeling is not all glamour. With acting, go to classes and learn everything you can about the craft. With modeling, consult a reputable agency and see if they think you have what it takes to make it in the industry. Don’t get taken in by modeling scams. There are a lot out there. Just look inside yourself and ask yourself if you really want this and if the answer is yes…Trust your instincts and go for it!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are a film and television actress, model, you practice karate & krav maga and you are a fit mother of three. How you are able to manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional, multi-faceted lifestyle?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
LOL! I am not ashamed to admit that I have an amazing nanny who makes it easy for me to do everything I need to in any given day. I am not afraid of asking for help . I feel a lot of women fall into the pressure of doing it all and being wonder women. We put too much pressure on ourselves. My children are the most important thing for me but I also have to have time for myself and to make sure that my needs are being met. I love to work and so I make it all a balance. It also helps that I have a wonderful husband who encourages and supports me in everything I do!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Tells about the fitness regime of ‘Krav Maga Technique’ you practice for fitness?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
Krav Maga is something that I stumbled upon while doing research for a role. It is a form of self-defense developed for the military in Israel in the 1940s. It is sort of like karate and other forms of martial arts. Krav Maga is based on the use of reflexive response to threatening situations. It has become very popular and you can easily find classes almost anywhere. It is like getting a cardio workout, strength building and muscle toning workout all in one activity. I try to do it a couple of times a week.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You was born in Russia but now have captured the fashion world of Europe and the US. For a fashion model and actress adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust your professional habits and style, what advice you can give to fellow models and actresses in a similar situation?
Ms. Eugenia Kuzmina:
The advice I would give is to be open minded and open to learning new things while never forgetting and respecting who you still are as a person and where you have come from. If you don’t know all the answers…you might learn more from listening than you will learn by talking. There is a great big world out there and if you give it a chance, you can really enrich yourself by learning about other people and other cultures.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
