While
training, it is important to choose your exercises
wisely, in order to avoid injury. The goal of
bodybuilding should be, to build a balanced body that is
as strong as possible in every way. The exercises you
choose and how you perform them not only determine how
big, strong, and flexible you are, but also affect how
your body functions and whether or not you suffer from
aches, pains, and injuries like back pain and sciatic
pain. Check out this week's focus on, Choosing the WRONG
Exercises.

Advanced bodybuilding training techniques like, muscular failure, should only be used sparingly; do not use them on every workout or else you risk overtraining and/or injury. Supersets, tri-sets and giant-sets however are the exception to this rule and can be used on every workout.

Cross your Comfort Zone
I
think we’ve all been guilty of taking the path of least
resistance—I know I have. A lot of times, that path is
fine, or even preferred, but I think when it comes to
setting goals for your life, we should all be striving
to do something that scares us. I’m not saying set a
goal that is unattainable, but reaching a goal that is
just outside of your comfort zone can really do wonders
for confidence and pride.
Overcome the fear of failure. The reason people don’t
push themselves to dream bigger, dream larger, dream
harder is because of the fear of failure. Fear is a sign that you are headed in the right
direction with your goals. That feeling of fear is a big honkin’ sign that you are going down a path that you are
truly passionate about—a path that if you failed at,
you’d be hurt, confused and sad. You want your goal to
be scary. You want to know that if you do fail, you
would be in mourning over the loss of a dream. That is
what motivates us to do better and be bigger. If it
didn’t scare you, if you couldn’t fail, then that isn’t
a dream—it’s just a reality you haven’t reached yet.

“Not
all dreamers are winners, but all winners are dreamers.
Your dream is the key to your future. The Bible says
that, "without a vision (dream), people perish." You
need a dream, if you're going to succeed in anything you
do.”

The exercises most bodybuilders focus on the most, are the ones that cause the most problems. But before we share with you what those exercise are, let’s talk real quickly about what bodybuilding is…
The goal of bodybuilding isn’t to get as big as you can, or at least to us it isn’t and shouldn’t be, but to build a balanced body that is as strong as possible in every way.
