The one-leg squat is the most useful, time-efficient, and versatile exercise for improving running-specific leg strength. The squat places larger-than-usual eccentric strain on the key muscle groups in the legs - the quads, hamstrings, and calves. This fortifies these muscles for the eccentric stress associated with exercises like running, jogging or skipping, leading to less soreness and fewer injuries, as well as greater efficiency of movement during workouts and races.
Instruction for performing one-leg squat :
- Stand with your left foot forward and your right foot back, with your feet
approximately one shin-length apart from front to back and hip-width apart from
side to side. Maintain upright posture with your trunk and hold your hands at
your sides;
- Place the toes of your right foot on a block or step 6-8 inches high,
with most of your weight directed through the heel of your left foot;
- Bend the left leg and lower your body until there is an angle of 90
degrees between the thigh and lower leg;
- Return to the starting position; Complete 12 reps;
- Repeat with right foot forward and your left foot back; Rest for a few
moments and repeat twice more.

Discipline: a key to cinch goals
Self discipline means deliberately aligning our energy with our values and priorities. Through mental practice we focus on a task before us and lets other temptations and distractions pass us by.
Self-discipline asks that we endure frustration, disappointment, and pain in the service of a higher goal. It means being willing to push ourselves to the limits of our will and endurance if that is what is needed for success.
Self-discipline need not be harsh; it can take the form of a quiet resolve or determination that then directs our choices.

Healthy Recipe
Creamy Cauliflower Soup With Almonds
Makes: 7
Ingredients:
-
1/4 cup ghee
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1 1/2 cups blanched almonds, toasted
-
1 medium sweet potato or white potato
-
5 cups vegetable stock
-
6 cups cauliflower coarsely chopped
-
Pinch of hing, optional Salt
-
White pepper
Directions:
-
Melt ghee in large soup pot. Add hing, cauliflower and salt. Stir, cover and
cook over very low heat until cauliflower is tender, 3040 minutes. Stir
occasionally. While cauliflower is cooking, boil potato until tender.
-
Drain and peel when cool enough to handle.
-
Blend almonds thoroughly into 5 cups of stock. For a completely smooth soup,
strain through a sieve lined with a clean muslin cloth. Squeeze all liquid from
almond meal.
-
Puree cauliflower and potato mixture thoroughly with almond milk in blender or
food processor. The smoother the mixture, the easier the next step will be.
-
Place large sieve over soup pot. Scrape underside of sieve periodically. Do not
skip this step! It is essential for a creamy texture. Discard remaining amount
of fibrous material that pulls away from the sieve.
-
Heat soup to serving temperature. Thin with more stock if necessary. Season to
taste with salt and white pepper.

Exercise to Bust Out Body Toxins
With every passing day the percentage of toxins are on
the rise in gar·gan·tu·an, around us. They are in the
air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, and
they are at home, at work, at school and in our
neighborhoods. With the rise in consumption of fried and
fatty foods, processed and fast food, as well as sugars,
the liver is left exhausted. Other factors that can
break down this natural detoxification process and make
it slower and more sluggish include sickness, diseases,
legal and illegal drugs, alcohol, smoking, stress and
even consuming too much food.
The liver works tirelessly to keep the body as clean and
healthy as possible by preventing harmful toxins from
finding their way into the bloodstream. This dangerous
accumulation if left ignored can give way to any number
of health issues. This is why body detox is such a
significant element of remaining in good health.
Exercise is the easiest way to detox.
