Laughter
Yoga combines deep, controlled breathing and stretches
with various types of simulated laughter and laughter
broken down into syllables in a chant form. Not only is
it fun to laugh, but laughter yoga (also known as Hasya
yoga) can provide many health benefits: it serves to
reduce stress, enhance the immune system, strengthen
cardiovascular functions, oxygenate the body by boosting
the respiratory system, improve circulation, tone
muscles and helps with digestion and constipation. Check

Don't skimp on lunch. Make sure your mid-day meal contains whole grains and
plenty of veggies for bulk as well as lean protein and fat. This winning
combination will provide satiety -- the feeling of fullness. With a satisfying
lunch under your belt, you'll be less apt to chow down on the office munchies
that are always lying around.
Try these quick mid-day meals:
-
Stuff a
whole grain pita with tons of veggies from the salad
bar, some protein-rich tuna or chicken, and light
salad dressing.
-
Chase a
tofu sandwich with a mug of a hearty vegetable soup.
-
Roll up
a whole wheat flat bread coated with hummus, and
topped with chickpeas or kidney beans and layers and
layers of veggies.

You have them, too
The doctor was wrong, but Harry Perry was even more wrong. He was told, he was
dying from Leukemia, so he threw his towel as started to act as if life was
over. He quit his job, ruled out marriage, spent thousands on treatments, drank
heavily, and spent most of his time alone... waiting to die.
About five year after the initial diagnosis showed that Harry did not have
Leukemia. He has since then married, bought a home, and quit treatments and
feels great.
The only thing that really changed is Harry's attitude. When he thought
he was dying, he set a course of self-destruction. When he learned he
wasn't a victim of Leukemia, he set a course of living and fulfillment.
You too, possess the potential to attain success and happiness. Don't let
your epitaph read," Born 1950, Died 1984, Buried 1999".

Hasya Yoga: laughing your way to Good Health
When chuckles, giggles and belly laughs are mixed with
yoga, it becomes 'laughter yoga' -- the fun way to
reduce stress.
Not only is it fun to laugh, but laughter yoga (also
known as Hasya yoga) can provide many health benefits:
it serves to reduce stress, enhance the immune system,
strengthen cardiovascular functions, oxygenate the body
by boosting the respiratory system, improve circulation,
tone muscles and helps with digestion and constipation.
Children laugh from 300-400 times a day . When we grow
older, we laugh 15-20 times a day, so we have lost this
ability to laugh.
Like more traditional fitness classes, laughter yoga
requires a warm-up period. Since students can't
necessarily start a class prepared to break out into
deep laughter, they begin with the clapping and
chanting. Then they perform breathing exercises,
followed by stretches and laughing games.
