Celebs Go Dating Star Demi Sims Talks Fitness, Fashion & Lots More!

DEMI SIMS

British reality television star Demi Sims had a fast rise to fame after joining the series The Only Way Is Essex. She has a rabid fan base on Instagram where she posts travel, lifestyle and red carpet photos .

She recently appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating. She currently works as a make-up artist and brand ambassador and showcases her work on her Instagram page.

Women Fitness joins Demi Sims for a fun conversation below!

Namita Nayyar:

Ever since you joined the cast of TOWIE in 2018 you have been an instant hit, what motivated you towards the world of entertainment?

Demi Sims:

I joined Towie because I had grown up with my family being in the industry since I was around the age of 14, I had seen them all enjoy being in the entertainment world and I knew I would enjoy working along side them! 

Namita Nayyar:

You and your sister will be joining the Celebs Go Dating line-up for season seven, how excited are you for this one? What other projects are you presently working on?

DEMI SIMS:

I am SOOOOO excited to be working on the new season of Celebs Go Dating! It’s a show I’ve always thought was a good watch, and I have enjoyed every minute of it so far! I will be back for the next series of TOWIE in August.

Namita Nayyar:

Your fitness mission for 2019? 

DEMI SIMS:

My fitness mission for 2019 is to keep eating clean on the weekend, I used to always seem to fail on the weekend especially after a night out, so therefore I’m trying my hardest to not let myself down and binge just because it’s the weekend!

Namita Nayyar:

What according to you is a good warm-up & why is it so important before a workout session?

DEMI SIMS:

My usual warm up when hitting the gym is going on the running machine for 10-15 minutes or on the cycling machine, it is important to warm up your muscles if you’re about to lift weights. 

Namita Nayyar:

What does your first meal of the day look like? 5 foods to kick start the day?

DEMI SIMS:

My morning meal would be 1 slice of toast with 2 scrambled eggs on top. If I fancy something lighter I would have Greek yoghurt with a handful of muesli on top would be banana, raspberry’s and blueberries lightly covered in some honey.

Do you advocate opting for cheat meals once a week? Cheat meals that you can’t resist?

DEMI SIMS:

I do think it’s important to have a cheat meal once a week because your body will crave it so badly otherwise, but don’t go overboard with it and have a whole cheat day including breakfast, lunch and dinner, I would recommend just choosing one of the 3 for the cheat meal. 

Namita Nayyar:

Three components that are key essentials in your fitness regime?

DEMI SIMS:

3 components would be

  1. Diet and vitamins
  2. Sleep
  3. Water 
Namita Nayyar:

You have a big fan following, what do you think motivates people to follow you?

DEMI SIMS:

I have a lot of people message me saying they follow me for either my fashion, the fact I have came out as bi sexual on TV and they see me as a role model within the LGBTQ+ community, I had a lot of people follow me when I posted about my vitiligo condition and finally to keep up to date with the TOWIE!

Namita Nayyar:

Your favourite activewear brands are?

DEMI SIMS:

My favourite activewear brands are LA Gear, Under armour, Nike and Adidas

Women Fitness website is on trend, informative and useful for somebody who is already in the fitness world or looking to enter it.

Namita Nayyar:

Do you follow any skincare and hair care routine, after a sweaty workout?

DEMI SIMS:

After a workout I will sometimes get in the steam room which is located at my gym! Followed by a shower which I will then moisturise head to toe afterwards using Aveeno I feel that this moisturiser is the best with making your skin feel less dry. With my hair, when it’s washed and damp I will put a heat defence serum on it ready to be blow dried and I will alps run through it with bleach London Oil because I find it leaves your hair silky and smooth. 

Namita Nayyar:

After a long hard-working day, what do you look forward to? Stress-busting tips?

DEMI SIMS:

After a long day of working out I would  honestly look forward to getting squeeky clean out of the shower! Moisturising my skin, putting on fresh pyjamas and watching a nice rom com before bed.

Namita Nayyar:

You have an incredible social media following on your account @demsims. What is the best and worst part about it?

DEMI SIMS:

The best part about having a good social media following is the opportunities that come with it, for example being able to work with yourselves along side other brands. However the downfalls of having such a big social media following is the fact that people feel as though they can comment there own opinions which are sometimes negative, I do feel like they forget that you’re only human. 

Namita Nayyar:

5 things we’ll always find in your gym bag?

DEMI SIMS:

5 things that would always be in my gym bag would

  1. Water bottle
  2. Deodorant
  3. Makeup wipes to make sure I have no makeup on before working out
  4. Hair bands to tie my hair with
  5. Towel incase I get a bit sweaty 😉

Message for your fans at Women Fitness?

DeMI SIMS:

A message for my fans would be to have fun whilst taking care of yourself! Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t reach your goals right away! Rome wasn’t built in a day
