Namita Nayyar:
You grew up in Lithuania and basically lived there your present life. Later you started working as a model and now your career is propelled of an Instagram sensation to the height where you have been at the top of the world of fashion and glamour modeling with impressive 140k Instagram followers. Tell us more about this journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?
Deimante Kazenaite:
I grew up in Lithuania and lived till now. Last year when I met my boyfriend who is French I started living between two spots. And now I’m living active life between Vilnius and Paris 50/50.
I tried modeling at a young age when I was 16-18 years old and then stopped for studies and work as a makeup artist. So I did modeling a bit, then studied politics, then worked for 7-8 years as a professional makeup artist and then switched to Instagram 100%. So my life has been quite a switch all the time. I started Instagram from pure passion for beauty and fashion. I worked in the photo shoots everyday so I shared a bit of my skills and backstage there. And then fell in need to share my outfits and my casual lifestyle for exchange of everyday work as a makeup artist. At that time I had no idea, it will ever be my job someday. As none of us thought that one day it’s going to be full of opportunities space for work. It became so natural to share my lifestyle that I didn’t feel when it came to point when I have to make a decision to stop makeup artist work and spend my full energy only on Instagram creating content.
Namita Nayyar:
You have been practicing sport since you were very young. Tell us more about this endeavor of yours and how it had been a catalyst to turn you such an epitome of glamour, beauty, and elegance?
Deimante Kazenaite:
I did sports from seven years of age. I started I was not so elegant and glamorous. I started doing judo and came to point I was doing it professionally 1-2 per day every day, going to competitions on the weekend and being in Lithuanian national team. I was always so skinny that people all the time used to say how it is possible for you – so tiny and skinny, elegant girl doing judo?
But I was enjoying being good at it. Till I decided I don’t see myself doing it professionally anymore and stopped at 17 years of age. At that time I took part in Miss Lithuania and went to Milan to do some modeling as well. I told you doing different in life have always been my type of thing. After I stopped judo I started studying and for 10 years was trying to learn a new way of doing sport for myself, not for result of a sportswoman.
Namita Nayyar:
You have been selected as “Top 10 most stylish women” by the Lithuanian Edition of L’Officiel Magazine. Tell us more about this exceptional achievement of yours and how this has been the turning point in your modeling and Instagram star career?
Deimante Kazenaite:
This year I was the second one on the list by people voting in Lithuania. I was really happy to hear that people see me that way. Fashion always be my passion. I remember when I was studying and practicing in Parliament and Vilnius municipality (as I mentioned I was studying politics) I was trying to hide myself a bit, because it was too much attention for my appearance there. But even at that time people used to say to me that I always dress nice and stylish.
But I was never confident about it. I always liked clothing so following fashion was never hard. It is in my blood. It’s just what is coming to my interest all the time. And Instagram community loves it. So I can always be useful to them. And my mission and my fulfillment come from giving to people something useful, information that brings something new to their life. New vision. New style tips. New beauty concept. I never was and never will be the one who always have to perfect. When I’m casual I don’t push myself to be wow. I just like being me.
