Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Cici Spadaro is a leading glamour Model to talk about her workout, diet, hair and skin care.
Namita Nayyar:
You are an extremely talented model. Walk us through your journey to become one and share an exciting moment from modeling?
Cici Spadaro:
Thank you! Growing up I never felt “pretty” I had big frizzy hair, bushy Italian eyebrows and braces. I always loved doing my hair and makeup at my mother’s vanity for hours. I taught myself how to apply makeup and straighten my hair, and would always get in trouble afterwards. I would play dress up and put outfits together even make my own clothes. I got into cheerleading and dance at a very young age and I loved everything about it! I got to dress up, wear makeup and dance/cheer! At any given time growing up I was on at least two teams. When I moved to Miami for college, all of my cheerleading and dancing came to a stop. I felt like a piece of my soul was just put on a shelf and I thought to myself “This can’t be IT for me, there has to be something here I can be a part of that I will enjoy. I did my research and my lifelong dream of becoming an NFL Cheerleader was actually a possibility. I auditioned for the Miami Dolphins and made it! Being a part of the NFL requires not only dancing and healthy physique but also modeling. I learned so much from my experiences on both the Miami Dolphins as well as the Washington Redskins.
Namita Nayyar:
In the present scenario, how are you managing your exercise workouts?
Cici Spadaro:
I ordered some resistance bands from Amazon and I take my 5 month old Blue Merle French Bulldog puppy with heterochromia for walks and puppy sprints!

Share exercises that comprise your fitness regime or workout routine? How essential is a regular training routine, according to you.
Cici Spadaro:
Dance! Being a former NFL Cheerleader dance has always been my main source of exercise. My body is at its best when I’m dancing. Luckily I’m able to instruct a Heels Dance class at GETFIT Academy here in South Florida. We always begin with a warm-up, squats and stretch! Dancing in heels is like training with ankle weights it’s an added bonus you are working legs glutes and core just by standing in heels, now add a few 8 counts and you’re working double time!
Namita Nayyar:
Share the diet that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit? 5 foods you absolutely love and 5 who keep to a minimum.
Cici Spadaro:
Every morning I have my coffee protein shake I’m not a huge breakfast person so these protein shakes are the perfect combination of energy and fullness to start my day! I LOVE Katia Gourmet Protein bars! The cocoa, ginger and oats is my favorite! I could also eat grilled chicken for the rest of my life!

How did you come up with the idea of “????í ????Í???”. Tell us more about this venture of yours?
Cici Spadaro:
I am always hot!! I’m originally from NYC so being in the Sunshine State can be pretty brutal. I created FANCÍ boutique to make luxury handheld fans so that you can stay cool and look fabulous!

Share with us a HIIT home workout that works great for your body?
Cici Spadaro:
I love Heart Rate Based Interval training. Know your target heart rate and knowing which parameters in which your body enters into EPOC* while monitoring your HR is a great way to train. I’m a very visual person so being able to see the numbers and goals I need to achieve gets me the most motivated.
* EPOC (the After burn Effect) Defined.
EPOC refers to the elevation in metabolism (rate that calories are burned) after an exercise session ends. The increased metabolism is linked to increased consumption of oxygen, which is required to help the body restore and return to its pre-exercise state.
Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and upcoming models that all are your fans? Five tips to work upon their skills.
Cici Spadaro:
If you want to physically change / alter something because it will make you feel better about yourself, make you feel your best, make you happy.. DO IT! Don’t let anyone tell you that “you don’t need it” or “you shouldn’t”
- Do what make will make YOU happy and feel most confident!
- Be mindful of the little things
- Be resourceful – learn how to do/ fix your own hair and makeup
Research your photographers first!! – Find some of the models they’ve previously shot with and reach out to them, ask them questions; did the photographer(s) make you feel comfortable? Would you shoot with them again? Is there anything you would have done differently? Etc.
Never shoot with a photographer without letting someone know where you are and who you’re with. Share you location or bring a friend!
Know your angles and know your body! Practice your body positioning take video of yourself on your phone and play it back so you can see what works and what doesn’t.

How do you train your abs? One secret to your toned body.
Cici Spadaro:
I wear a waist trainer and love the p90x Abs Ripper workout!!
Namita Nayyar:
Five key factors to follow while preparing for a photo shoot.
Cici Spadaro:
- Pack the night before
- Bring snacks and dental floss!
- Refrain from salty snacks a few days leading up to your shoot
- Over pack! It’s always better to have options than to have regrets!
- Pack a large mirror
