Christine Geenen is a German model with a height of 170 cm, blue eyes and blond hair. She has been featured in many magazines, few being Runner’s, Maxi, Laura, Shape, Focus, and Vriendin.
Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Chrissie Geenen an exceptionally talented German model, here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, her beauty secrets and success story.
Namita Nayyar:
You were born in Germany. Tell us about your early education and professional training if any. You later started working as a professional fashion and glamour model. This propelled your modeling career to the height where you have been a leading fashion and glamour model. Tell us more about your journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?
Chrissie Geenen:
Yes, I was born in Germany and now live in the Netherlands but I/we are always on the go so the Netherlands feels more like a home base. Well I actually started working when I was still in high school and at first it was very much just for fun.
The entire atmosphere was fun and exciting and I just loved the energy when I was on set. To be honest, I didn’t think it would amount to anything considerable so I continued working when I could and completed by bachelor degree in Law and worked for an airline. I totally expected to go onto grad school and continue on that kind of path.
Then, work intensified and I found myself travelling more often and I found it more and more difficult to manage responsibilities that required me to be in a single location. At that point I kind of made a conscious decision that commercial photo and video work was going to be my professional focus.
Once I did finally dedicate myself more fully to my work, well that’s when everything began to snowball. But that is like everything in life isn’t it? You tend to get what you give. That being said, I feel blessed to be able to do what I do and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Namita Nayyar:
You have appeared on the cover of various magazines like Runner’s, Maxi, Laura, Shape, Focus, and Vriendin. Elaborate more about this amazing and inspiring journey of being a Magazine Cover Model.
Chrissie Geenen:
It’s always something special to be on a cover, you walk around seeing your face everywhere and all your friends take selfies in the grocery store with your face in the background and send them to you. My first cover was so intimidating and I totally had imposter syndrome doing it but then you just get to work and you forget about where the end product will be. I think that is important, that you focus on what you’re doing in the moment and not what this will be or who will see it.
Namita Nayyar:
You are a world-leading media personality, supermodel, influencer, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Chrissie Geenen:
I think you may have forgotten mother, wife, daughter and friend. What is unique about the job that I do is that it is very much intertwined with my personal life, maybe more so than other occupations. The result is that I always feel pulled in multiple directions at once; a project opportunity in one place, a job in another, a birthday in another and a wedding somewhere else.
It is always difficult to find a balance between professional and personal life but I think it helps to reflect consciously on personal and professional goals, balancing them with personal and professional priorities. I love what I do and I don’t think I could ever 9 to 5 at a desk but that also means that making decisions about where to be, when and with whom can be more complicated. I’ve also realized that you can never please everyone so concentrate on those in your immediate circle and do what’s best for them and yourself.
Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Chrissie Geenen:
Does running around after a 3 year old all day count? 🙂 I wish I could have a regime but with an ever-changing schedule and a toddler at home, I have to make time when I can. Luckily, I am always happier when I’m moving no matter what it is.
I love to go running in the morning; I find it to be the most positive and refreshing way to start the day. If I don’t have the time, I’ll try to sneak in some callisthenic HIIT in the living room. I can usually convince my toddler to join in so it’s fun for everyone. When my schedule is more flexible, I love surfing, biking, yoga and playing the occasional round of golf.

Namita Nayyar:
Do you take a special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Chrissie Geenen:
I think the perfect word to describe it is balance. I don’t have a special diet but I try to eat in a balanced manner. It’s important not to restrict yourself or to forbid indulgences but it is also important to be mindful of what you are putting in your body. I think it is most important to have a positive relationship with food and to stay active.
Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.
Chrissie Geenen:
Thank you and while I’d disagree at times I’ll try to share. My go to are masks. Whenever I have time I’ll always do a mask. Cooling eye pads, mud-based, whatever it is, I love the kind of skin care you can do while doing something else.
I try to use natural products whenever I can and try not to mess too much with the natural oil and moisture balance of my skin. Your body has a way of managing things better than any cream can. Most importantly
UK, and whether an alternative size web was relevant. https://crypto-economy.online Then he sometimes highlights and can need what I can improve too.
, I make sure to wash my face every night before bed and I always drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated is probably the best skin care advice I can give.Namita Nayyar:
You go to different places and work with different professionals for your modeling career. For a model to adjust to different places with their own cultures, it must be difficult, and then to adjust to a modeling career in new locations and with different professional directors, what advice you can give to fellow glamour models in a similar situation?
Chrissie Geenen:
I love to travel, love going to different places and working with different people. I’m really open so it’s not difficult for me to start conversations because I’m always authentically curious about other people’s lives. That part really comes easy to me so my sociability probably helps. For those in a similar situation, my best advice would be to approach every situation with a positive attitude and give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Of course, there will be personal, interpersonal or cultural clashes, there are bound to be. But often, when working in a team, everyone is just aiming to produce the best product possible. Trust that criticisms are for the benefit of the work and try to have thick skin when you need to. Most importantly, trust in your own judgment and intuition. Being true to yourself and your own values and beliefs can help you navigate almost any situation which may arise.
Namita Nayyar:
You have many video advertisements for products like Persil Sensitive, Lavera Natur Kosmetic, Cowboy bags, and SWR. Tell us more about working on making these videos?
Chrissie Geenen:
I love photo-shoots but I also love making commercials. The work is completely different and filming days can be incredibly long. Running the same scene all day can be exhausting and sometimes you feel like a failure when repeating things over and over and over again. Then again, you just need to trust in the vision of those you are working with and trust that collectively, you all want to produce the best product possible.
My favorite thing about video work is how much I am always learning. The more I learn, the more confidence I gain in front of the video-camera and that confidence definitely translates in both pictures and film.
Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion and glamour model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?
Chrissie Geenen:
Be yourself, be authentic, don’t forget where you are coming from, be polite, be patient, be ambitious, stay focused and tell yourself that you can achieve whatever you want IF you really want it.
Namita Nayyar:
Fashion and Glamour Modeling involves doing bold photo-shoots. How you are so body confident and advise your compatriots?
Chrissie Geenen:
I do a lot of sport shootings but not so much lingerie. I feel comfortable in my body but of course that’s a process. If you don’t feel comfortable don’t do it. You can clearly tell your agency or agent that you don’t do lingerie or beach wear or whatever you don’t feel comfortably.
Namita Nayyar:
How do you train your abs? One secret to your toned body.
Chrissie Geenen:
10 minute abs burning workouts are your best friend. Body weight resistance workouts that are intense and short are a life saver. Anyone can do them in the few spare minutes they have and it makes a difference.
Namita Nayyar:
Five foods you absolutely love and five you keep to a minimum.
Chrissie Geenen:
To be honest, growing up in southern Germany, a single list could probably cover both. Cliché as it may be, some of my favorite foods are the heavy comfort foods which are traditional from the region in which I was born. I still love my Schnitzel, Spätzle, Weißwurst, Maultaschen, Brezeln etc even though they may not be the “healthiest choices”. I just try to keep them in moderation.
I also tend to eat in trends, like I’ll have phases. Recently Southeast Asian cuisine has been my favorite. I don’t think there is anything I intentionally avoid but I try to be mindful of my red meat and fish intake both for health and environmental reasons.
Namita Nayyar:
Five skincare myths.
Chrissie Geenen:
I don’t experiment enough to be able to give you a proper answer. Anytime something appears to be too good to be true, it probably is. Stick with consistent long term solutions and not a quick fix . . . . it won’t work.
Namita Nayyar:
Five athletic leisure brands you love to wear.
Chrissie Geenen:
Lululemon, new balance, ASICS, Adidas
Namita Nayyar:
Five travel destinations on your wish list.
Chrissie Geenen:
Too many to name . . . I love the Caribbean and there are a lot of islands I haven’t been to like Barbados and Antigua. I’d also love to go to Cuba. It has the Caribbean vibe but so much culture as well. It may seem foolish to have a place on your wish list that you have already been but I would love to go back to New Zealand. It’s where I met my husband and where he proposed and we haven’t been able to go back since this whole covid situation happened. We would love to be there again . . . and many other places in the south pacific.
Namita Nayyar:
What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and the message for its visitors?
Chrissie Geenen:
I just love the content and I think this is a great platform for everything health related. The columns are great and you always get content catered to your needs. I guess that’s the best thing about such a broad spectrum publication. Please just keep providing such great content. I also like the healthy recipes.
Namita Nayyar:
Your idea of a perfect date?
Chrissie Geenen:
Good food and a good glass of wine, nice environment but not a packed restaurant, maybe even a Picnic, great conversations and a lot of laughing. With the right person it’s not so much about what you do but who you are with. Most important thing: no schedule or minding the time just living in the moment and being spontaneous.
Namita Nayyar:
Today social media plays a vital role in putting your message across to your followers and fans. What is your message for your followers on Instagram?
Chrissie Geenen:
Learn to be yourself at all times. We all feel like we are authentic and true to our values and beliefs but the truth is, in the moment, we can make accommodations or sacrifices. It really is important to act in accordance with your values and beliefs and trust that those decisions will bring positive things.
