Mexican-American Actress Carla Jimenez Talks About Her Breakthrough Series “The Mick”
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have also been in many feature films such as Nacho Libre, Lady in the Water, Accepted & TV shows like Better Off Ted for ABC and the hit show Desperate Housewives. Share with us one memorable experience that you may have had during your acting career.
Ms. Carla Jimenez:
I have so many memories from ALL these experiences, and I can say each one was so good. If I had to pick a memory, it would be when I did NACHO LIBRE. I arrived in Mexico City to start filming and I was very nervous and I didn’t really know anybody. I get to set and Jack Black walked over to me and just introduced himself. He is so sweet and he just put me at ease, and set a tone for the rest of the time I was filming there, that it was going to be a great environment.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
With two cats of your own, you are dedicated to promoting pet adoptions and regularly work with Los Angeles Animal Shelters to find homes for our furry friends. Tell us how have you been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through this endeavor of yours?
Ms. Carla Jimenez:
Well I try to get out the word to “Adopt, don’t shop” there are so many cats and dogs looking for homes & I think it’s important to get this message out. I myself adopted both my beautiful boy cats and they have so much love to give. If we can find them homes, get them spayed & neutered, hopefully we can bring down the number of animals in those shelters.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Carla Jimenez:
I think it’s a great outlet for women looking to get not only physically fit, but mentally, & emotionally as well.
