Caggie Dunlop: Stunningly Beautiful English Singer, Actress and Model Reveals her Fitness, Diet and Beauty Secrets
Caggie Dunlop is an exceptionally talented and stunningly beautiful
English singer, actress, model and media personality. She is in
conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You studied at London school till the age of
seven. Later you were at Leeds University doing Philosophy and
History of Art before studying acting in New York. You were featured
in E4 hit series 'Made in Chelsea'. This propelled your career in
reality TV to the height where you have been at the top of the world
in television and modeling. Tell us something about this fairy tale
journey?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: It has been fun! growing up in London was an
absolute privilege, and I made friendships that I still maintain
today. Made in Chelsea came about as a result of those friendships
and this network we developed since we were about fourteen. I think
Made in Chelsea allowed me to explore different avenues and try out
different things, that I wouldn't have had a chance to do otherwise
and it was an experience! But reality TV isn't really my thing, I'm far more excited about the next chapter with music and acting and
where that it going to take me.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are world leading Media Personality,
Model, Actress, Reality TV star, Singer and a Style Icon. How you
manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: I think in this day and age its important to
be multifaceted, with social followings etc being so key to
establishing any sort of career in entertainment. I personally enjoy
doing lots of different things, and keeping it fresh. Every week is
different.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime
or workout routine you may wish to share?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: I try and mix it up- yoga is something I
struggle in disciplining myself to do regularly, but I always feel
huge benefits from it mentally and physically. I'm in LA at the
moment, so I alternate between HOT8YOGA where I do Barre classes or
yoga in the heat, then Hiking and a "regular workout" at the gym,
Which will include a 20 min warm up running or cross trainer, and
then a sequence involving various full body exercises. I enjoy
taking classes at the gym too, that way you don't have to think too
much about what you are doing! and when I am in London I train at
the Lomax with my trainer Mark.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a
strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: Not really. I am a foodie, So I enjoy eating
and will always prefer to work out and eat than not eat so much! I
try and eat more plant based meals, I love vegetables and salads
which definitely helps but I think everyone is unique and you have
to work with what you enjoy, don't deprive yourself of anything.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do
you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing
and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: I use coconut oil as a body moisturizer, for
my hair also. Its great in hot countries if its getting dry and
breaking, I also use Dr Lancer products on my skin. And creme de la
Mer.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Your website and blog http://caggiedunlop.com
covers a wide variety of topics from fashion, beauty, lifestyle,
music, clothing and other women interest sections. Tell what is the
catalyst that inspires you to create such a varied blog for women?
Ms. Caggie Dunlop: I wanted a blog that allowed me to express
all the things I am interested in, and keep people up to date with
what I have going on in my life, as well are sharing beauty tips,
fashion advice etc. i would like eventually for the lets get
personal section to become a book- 'advise for my younger self' sort
of style.
