Ms. Namita Nayyar: You began your health and fitness journey in 2010. In 2012, your competed in your first fitness competition for NPC Bikini and placed 4th. In your second competition you placed 1st in your class and finished out the 2012 competition year taking 6th. In 2013 you competed in the WBFF fitness model class and won 1st and pro status. In August 2013 you competed at the pro level in fitness. Tell us about your journey that took you to the the world of professional fitness?
Ms. Brittni Shae: I had a lot of ups and downs getting there, learned a lot about myself, who my true friends were, the dark side of competing (unhealthy techniques), and how you can become engulfed in the world if you allow yourself to. I had a wake up call after my first pro show and took some time off to re-group. Now I am better than before on all levels with my approach, my mindset, and physique. I am happily competing in 3 pro shows this year for the WBFF!

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Brittni Shae: I use a flexible dieting approach where I track the food I eat in my app on my phone, I use Fat Secret. I do not limit any foods; any sugars, sodium, dairy, or gluten. I eat 1900-2200 calories daily. The majority of my intake is from carboyhdrates.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly, what do you do to keep your hair so shiny and stunning?
Ms. Brittni Shae: Thank you, I have been using Oil of Olay daily facial wipes since I was a teenager to wipe off my makeup. I used to tan and stopped tanning 3 years ago after a skin cancer scare. Now I protect my skin with sunscreen and only use spray tans. I moisturize daily with lotion. I also use dry shampoo 3-4 days per week and only wash my hair 3 days per week.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Fitness modelling is about bold photo shoots. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?
Ms. Brittni Shae: Be prepared, pick clothing you feel confident in, have a great hair and makeup stylist and choose a good photographer!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about a memorable experience you still remember about one of the fitness competitions, that you wish to share?
Ms. Brittni Shae: It was when I turned pro with the WBFF, when they called my name and said you are now “Pro Status”. I still remember that day, 3 years ago!

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding professional figure competitor girls who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to ladder of success in field of professional figure competitions?
Ms. Brittni Shae: NEVER QUIT ON YOURSELF! With any competition – powerlifting or fitness, you need to believe that you CAN and stay positive. You can really accomplish ANYTHING with hard work and dedication. CONSISTENCY is ALWAYS KEY!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: With an audience of over 64K followers on your Instagram account @bshaefit you’re famously known as “BShaeFit” or “BSHAE” in the social media circuit. How does it feel that you are able to influence the healthy lifestyle of so many individuals?
Ms. Brittni Shae: It is really great, it surprises me when I see a lot of people from social media at the big events especially or at the gym when they recognize me. I am truly still humble about it all. I am cautious how I post to be sure I am not sending a poor message the best I can!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are the Owner of Team BShaeFit ( http://www.bshaefit.com/ ). Tell us more about this endeavor of yours?
Ms. Brittni Shae: My goal is to create fitness plans with a more balanced approach – avoiding the extremes of restricting foods and doing excessive cardio to lose weight. Many girls come to me under-eating and over exercising, or with poor body image. I do all that I can to promote increased food intake and reducing the excessive exercise. It can be hard some days for them to trust the process when all they want to do is get “shredded”- when in reality that is not a healthy day to day look!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Brittni Shae: Thank you for reading my interview! This site is awesome! It is nice to read all the inspiring stories and see the information on here. Thank you for creating it!
