Namita Nayyar:
You are an accomplished artist, model, host, and UFC’s Octagon Girl. What series of events lead you to enter the world of art?
Brittney Palmer:
Arts and many forms of it have always been a passion of mine. Prior to becoming an artist I was a professional dancer dancing in shows on the Las Vegas strip. I was in a car accident when I was 21 which prohibited me from dancing the way I used to and from that point I started using painting as a way of expressing myself.
Namita Nayyar:
You have been featured in Playboy, Maxim, FHM, Fitness Gurls, Inside Fitness and more. 5 tips to rock a cover shoot?
Brittney Palmer:
- Be very aware of your diet and alcohol intake leading up to the shoot.
- A very strict workout schedule. For me, I like to switch it up every day and make sure to always break a really good sweat.
- I always love to have a great tan fresh hair and nails to feel my best.
- Confidence is key.
- You have to have fun with it. Each and every emotion can easily be picked up on by the camera. So have as much fun as possible and you will shine!
Namita Nayyar:
We are in absolute awe of your enviably-toned physique, tell us the three components that are an essential part of your workout regime?
Brittney Palmer:
- I am a pescatarian so I naturally eat very healthy. I definitely always make sure to have a cheat day though! 🙂
- I change my workouts every day of the week. One day I will do spin, the next day I will work with my trainer, the next day I will take a boxing class, the next day I will do hot yoga, I think it’s important to always shock your body!
- Hold yourself accountable. If you know that you have been eating bad or drinking a little too much take that into consideration when planning your workouts or weekly eating habits.

Namita Nayyar:
Food that constitutes an essential part of your diet? Foods you keep to the minimum?
Brittney Palmer:
- I am constantly trying to find different ways to source protein because I don’t eat meat. So seafood and a lot of plant protein are essential for my diet.
- I try to avoid fatty foods, starches, processed food and limit my alcohol intake to at least 1 to 2 times per week.
Namita Nayyar:
Your favorite cheat meal(s)?
Brittney Palmer:
When I have my cheat meals I usually crave an impossible burger and fries! 🙂
Namita Nayyar:
Tell us more about your personal fashion style. How would you’d define it?
Brittney Palmer:
As an artist, I think it is very important to be as comfortable as possible. I, of course, love dressing up and going to big functions, but I like to wear very solid colors. I love suits, rock tees, very casual chic.
Namita Nayyar:
Your 5 favorite activewear brands?
Brittney Palmer:
I recently started working with a wonderful new brand, Savoy Active! They do both yoga and workout apparel with hundreds of designs! I am super excited to also be designing my own line with them that will be available very soon! These images are some of their new pieces.

Brittney Palmer:
I love your site and monthly mags! Plenty of informative health & fitness information that interests me. You also feature so many unique athletes and influencers that I am sure everyone enjoys reading and learning about as much as I do!
Namita Nayyar:
What is your skincare and hair care routine like:
After a hard workout?
Brittney Palmer:
- Definitely good cleansing and very minimal makeup. Use skin serum, moisturizer and then put an SPF tinted moisturizer over the top with a little concealer and a touch of mascara.
Before hitting the stage/ring?
Brittney Palmer:
- Before big events or hitting The Octagon for fights, I love to keep my skin very moisturized and use a toner because I will be packing a lot of makeup on my face for a good amount of time. I think it’s good to have a barrier between the two. I also like to use a lot of face mists to keep my skin hydrated throughout the night.
Namita Nayyar:
Five tips to stay fit while traveling?
Brittney Palmer:
It mainly boils down to diet. Choosing foods that are going to nourish your body especially in the conditions of traveling and the combination of jet lag, climate change, recycled air on planes and a decrease in water consumption… Staying hydrated is key when traveling and can be work!
Namita Nayyar:

- I love being able to show who I am and what I enjoy doing for people that are interested enough to follow me! Hopefully, my followers are finding the same pleasures in the things that I love to see and do.
- I love being able to use my voice for the greater good whether it’s promoting some of my favorite charities and organizations or supporting friends or great brands that I truly believe. I only partner with things that reflect me or my life in some way.
- I love that it gives me a separate creative outlet to express myself whether it’s making a story to finding great things that could match my art feed for my artistic journey at @brittneypalmerart.
Namita Nayyar:
Your favourite fitness trends for 2019?
Brittney Palmer:
I really love how conscious people are becoming. Whether it’s about eating less meat or understanding what processed and GMO foods are doing to our health. The world will be much healthier if everyone paid a little bit more attention to what is in their diet and what their diet changes can do to improve the environment as well.
