Ms. Namita Nayyar: In the Victorian Open Championships held on 16-18th January 2015, You won the women’s 200 freestyle in a time of 1:57.44 finishing 13 one-hundredths of a second ahead of Bronte Barratt. Tell us about this exciting race and experience?
Ms. Brittany Elmslie: Victorian States was just one of the many warm up meets we raced in for the lead up to World Championship Trials in April this year. Bronte is my training partner so it was nothing new to be battling it out pushing each other along we do it everyday.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your greatest influence and motivator in your success in the field of swimming ?
Ms. Brittany Elmslie: My family. They have sacrificed so much for me to be chasing my dreams. My success is a reflection of the support they provide me everyday, would be lost without them.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Brittany Elmslie: Any website or platform that encourages a healthy active lifestyle is great. I think women can do amazing things in and out of the sporting world and I support anyone who sets themselves a goal and works hard to achieve it.
