Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You started playing curling at a young age of 11 years and reached the pinnacle of success on winning gold at World Curling Championships 2014 at Saint John. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?
Ms. Binia Feltscher:
The most important factor for this success has been my environment first and foremost. Even as a child I was supported without pressure and also when I married or later, my children were born, was my husband and my parents support on my side. Currently still my sister and my mother-in-law help me in my many absences by baby sitting my kids, in addition to the persons referred.
The good infrastructure for curling is way ahead here in Flims, in the Switzerland an important factor of course. And it is equally important that I do curling and pursue it is as my hobby with great joy. The friendship in the team means a lot to me and the sport brings me next to my everyday life as a housewife and mother very much.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How did you feel before and after winning gold at 2014 Ford World Women’s curling championship?
Ms. Binia Feltscher:
I have to say that I feel right now still exactly the same as before the title I won. Maybe I get some more confidence. Because not all have always believed in me, or us and this win brought a bit of my otherwise healthy self-confidence. When I think back to the World Cup I am always very happy and it brings me a smile on my face.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your first international winning came when you won silver at European Curling Championships 2004 at Sofia. Tell US about this endeavor of yours?
Ms. Binia Feltscher:
Since my goal in the execution of the sport of curling junior was actually never very ambitious, this participation in the European Championships and wining a medal already there came a bit out of nowhere. Just like now the World Championship gold medal. I had to get somehow always fortunate in the right hands – this was when Mirjam Ott took me in the team. I had past never dreamed that I would receive a request from a such ambitious top player.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Binia Feltscher:
I consider myself fit when ever possible in the great outdoors. In sports or activities that where I have fun. These are biking, hiking or mountain climbing. So, the training is not a must, but a healthy delight. Nature gives me much strength.

Ms. Binia Feltscher:
I cook mostly myself. I try to cook according to my preferences. And if it is still healthy, so much the better. Fresh fruit or fresh vegetables I like to buy and prepare it in different ways. I very gladly and often eat meat. This comes mostly from the hunting by my husband’s or my father or my uncle’s farm.
I do not but follow a diet or a strict diet plan. Also the fun and the enjoyment is not too short there. Of course I’m watching competitions that I can well hold the food and brings the necessary energy. But always it is that my preference not to be neglected. When ever my mind is well, I play well. Most of the time 🙂
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some child of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your sapling to make them look so stunning? Any special treatment to protect your skin in cold conditions?

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding girls taking career in sports of curling who all are your fans, they shall like to know from you, what they should do for their climb to ladder of success in the sport of curling?
Ms. Binia Feltscher:
Play the curling sport with fairness and joy. Friendships in the team or even among opponents are more important than the short-term success. For me the family was always more important than the sport. This always gave me strength and also when going through tough times in the sport.
