Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you have any advice or motivational words for our inspiring and budding women and fans starting out in the industry? What should they do to get their step in the right direction, or to help climb to the ladder of success in Fashion Industry?
Ms. Antonia O’Brien:
It is important in every industry to keep a sense of humour and be kind to yourself, there can be some real peaks and troughs so enjoy the highs and try not to be too disheartened on the lows. Also, just remember that those who you look up to have bad days as well, no one has it all sorted. And of course stay positive, it is a cliché but I am always trying to see the good and positive in situations.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it healthy and glowing? and secondly what you do to your hair to make it look so stunning?
Ms. Antonia O’Brien:
I have been a devout Dermalogica fan since I was a teenager and always use their Microfoliant to polish my skin. For hair I always use John Frieda, they have the best products to give your hair a volume boost.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What do you think is the main “colour” trending for Summer and Winter of 2014 would be?
Ms. Antonia O’Brien:
For me, spring/summer ’14 is about embracing brights and being brave; why not wear a mono-coloured outfit for a sharp evening look? Or if you are more minimal, tonal shades of cream and white look fresh and chic when wore top-to-toe. Sporty luxe is a sleek style that everyone can tap into via a silky bomber jacket, pleated mini skirt and trainers (if you can’t stretch to Chanel, go for New Balance.)
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What dresses are fashionable to wear for women in casual dressing and in party or formal dressing in present season?
Ms. Antonia O’Brien:
Fit and flare dresses (those that fit at the waist and then flare out to the knee) are such a flattering cut and great for creating the illusion of a smaller waist; choose one in a bright colour for spring like emerald green or tangerine orange.
