Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to a day in your life.
Anike Ekina:
My day starts at 5:00 in the morning, then we get up, the kids get ready for school, breakfast is served and then everyone leaves the house. On some days I go straight to the GYM and then to the office or production on others there is no time for the morning fitness program.
The days always depend a little on what’s on the agenda. Sometimes I’m in production designing new textiles for my label, testing new teas for our tea brand EMAYTEE, I’m in the studio making music, what I find every day are small shootings for my social media channels and the daily practice on my vocals, saxophone and DJ decks.
In the afternoon our daughter comes to the company more often, does her homework and is already working on her own “career”. Our big son is now part of the company and takes care of many technical productions. In the evening we go home for dinner together. We try to cook together if possible – it doesn’t always work out, depending on our schedule, but we try. Afterwards we go into the hot tub or into the sauna again and then into bed.
Namita Nayyar:
Five travel destinations that you love.
Anike Ekina:
I love the North and Baltic Sea just this year because of the Corona restrictions you could discover your own country. I also find Norway super beautiful, especially the fjords are awesome. In general I find everything interesting and every country has its own beauty. I love mountains, nature but also the sea, the sea especially because I love yachts. To strike on a boat is the greatest relaxation there is for me.
Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model and upcoming music artist girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in these professional fields?
Anike Ekina:
Sometimes you have to go three steps back to get 5 steps forward. Always keep your goal in front of your eyes and don’t lose sight of it, no matter what other people say. Your goal is your path, believe in yourself.
