Namita Nayyar:
You are a model, influencer and a leading media personality. How did you journey into the field of modelling begin?
Ana Espinola:
I started at the age of 19, I was working as an accounting assistant in medical insurance, and studying accounting at night. I had a busy schedule, I ended up super tired after college, and before dawn I was already getting ready for the office, earning a minimum wage that was enough for me and for my needs. A friend recommended how I can work on weekends for extra income. At the beginning, I was really ashamed that my school / office classmates saw me, but then the modelling became my main career.
Namita Nayyar:
Having appeared on numerous covers like FHM, Playboy, etc, which one is your favourite? Also, which cover do you dream to appear on?
ANA ESPINOLA:
I have been on FHM 4 times, and on Playboy 7 times, I would say that the one I liked the most was Playboy Mexico, because that’s where I started my career as a Playboy Bunny. I’d like to appear in Maxim next as I’m very passionate about everything and anything to do with fashion.

Namita Nayyar:
“I’m proud of my body and I work hard to stay in shape” What does your favourite workout routine look like? “I’ve been blessed with full lips and I want to do them justice so I do a work out every day.” Exercise you do to maintain that pout.
ANA ESPINOLA:
My favorite training routine is for the ‘booty’ and every morning I start with a good stretch. Next is cardio for 25 minutes, high intensity and I continue with squats. I continue with walking lunges, about 3 laps, and then deadlift. I repeat this series 4 times. This helps me maintain a healthy physical appearance.
Namita Nayyar:
Being a 5X Bikini Champion, how did you achieve this fitness level that you have today? Advice for upcoming models to remember and stick by always?
ANA ESPINOLA:
The truth is I was overweight. And I started training for health issues, I realized that if I continued to do nothing, not only was it going to cause me physical exhaustion, but a sedentary lifestyle could affect my health too. I started with 2 hours of cardio a day, then weights. And now fitness has become a part of my life.
Namita Nayyar:
Before starting strength training, what are the key points to keep in mind?
ANA ESPINOLA:
Always do stretching as it can prevent significant injuries. The technique, no matter the amount of weight, but the proper technique is important. I often see people wanting to skip phases putting excess weight. It is preferable to have a slow but safe progress, to hurry and not see results. Nutrition is key, if we are in the process where the body needs large loads of energy, if you do not give and follow a strict diet where you are going hungry, it is not right. One must not train to “be able to eat”, one must eat to be able to lift.
Namita Nayyar:
What does your first meal of the day look like? 5 foods to kick start the day?
ANA ESPINOLA:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Having the necessary intake not only helps the body, but speeds up mental processes also. We are what we eat. I start my day with my coffee, I love it and I can’t miss my green juice. I always alternate what I eat, egg whites with turkey breast or whole wheat bread.
Namita Nayyar:
Do you advocate opting for cheat meals once a week? Cheat meals that you can’t resist?
ANA ESPINOLA:
Yes! Cheat meal is something that is indispensable for our bodies, and also mental health. Once a while, it does not hurt. I love desserts, but sugar is the worst of poisons. It takes a lot of processing in our bodies, so it is best to choose something with carbohydrates instead of sugar. It can be a pizza, pasta, a sweet bread, but if it’s desserts, I love everything that comes with sweet milk.
Namita Nayyar:
Three components that are key essentials in the workout routine of a person trying to gain some muscle?
ANA ESPINOLA:
Nutrition, supplements, and good metabolism with adequate food intake and schedule.

ANA ESPINOLA:

ANA ESPINOLA:

Namita Nayyar:
“My body and face are my livelihood so I look after them.” What skincare and hair care routine do you follow every day, after a sweaty workout?
ANA ESPINOLA:
After bathing in the shower I apply body scrubs, and for the hair I use a shampoo that is not aggressive or damages the capillary leather. I only put conditioner on the tips to avoid greasiness, and once a week a mask to moisturize. On the skin, I use creams moisturizers and sunscreens in the morning, and before bed I remove all my makeup and put on a lotion to sleep, I usually get a Dermo abrasion to remove dead skin cells.
Namita Nayyar:
You have an incredible social media following on your account @ana_espinola_b. What do you absolutely love about social media?
ANA ESPINOLA:
What I like the most about social networks is the speed and power of information, you have access to everything what happens 24 hours on the other side of the world. It is a great platform for all entrepreneurs and a way to make ourselves known. What I like the most is the ability to connect all of us in such an easy and quick way.
