Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You were personally handpicked by Kim and Kanye West to be in the season’s YEEZY Season 6 campaign which is currently trending all over the web! Tell us more about this experience, which would have been totally breath-taking!
Ms. Abigail Ratchford:
I had actually worked with Kanye West two years ago for his coffee table book called (ZINE) short for magazine. He handpicked me for that as well and I really am proud to be part of a company that celebrated all models’ bodies and curves. I’m more on the curvy side, he also had some traditional high fashion runway model body types, as well representing all figures. That’s what I really love about Kanye, he’s not afraid to push the envelope and is constantly setting trends, so then when I got the call a couple OF months ago that he wanted to use me again for season six I was just so ecstatic, I knew I was going to be a part of something iconic.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Today, you have an incredibly enviable body which according to you is a result of Pilates with a one-on-one instructor. Unfold the exercises that comprise your fitness regime on a daily basis?
Ms. Abigail Ratchford:
To be totally honest I hate working out by myself, so I always have to have either an instructor, trainer, or be there in some kind of class setting or else I’ll slack off. I try to work out three times a week and I definitely watch what I eat. I also try to cut out dairy and sugar if I’m trying to lose weight quick and I drink a lot of water every day. Dandelion tea from whole foods is great and helps with bloating!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Healthy eating and nutrition go hand in hand with exercise. According to you watching the portions can help eating fewer calories every day. And drinking water—lots and lots of water, too can help. What would be your advice to friends in order to stay healthy and physically fit? Enlist your 5 favorite cheat foods?
Ms. Abigail Ratchford:
Definitely don’t stress about it too much. I think the times that I feel like I’ve been able to lose weight is when I don’t really think about it & I just live my life. I eat healthy and I’ll splurge every once in a while , but if you see it as a diet, you’re always gonna be miserable you’re always going to be fighting yourself instead of working with yourself to make you the best possible version of you . Once you see it as a lifestyle change and then just splurge every once in a while, you will be 10000x happier and more successful. You should definitely try to get out and get some exercise if you can; whether it’s walking, hiking, taking your dog for a run, etc. My top cheat foods are white lasagna, philly cheese steak, lobster ravioli with cream sauce, and tacos!
