Lauren First is NPC nationally qualified bikini and fitness model. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your journey that took you to the top of the world of fitness as a fitness model and as a competitor?
Ms. Lauren First: My journey did not start that long ago! Growing up, I was always an active child taking part in gymnastics and dance. Once I entered college, my boyfriend at the time introduced me to the world of lifting and meal planning. When I saw that the “freshman 15” was a real thing and the unhealthy foods were affecting my body in a bad way, I thought I would try to work out every day in addition to cleaning up my diet.
In the Spring of 2014, I attended my very first NPC bodybuilding competition and became very motivated to look like the women I saw. In the summer of 2014, I decided to give it my all and train for my very first bikini competition. I’ve always been the type of person to do whatever it takes to achieve something, so I began working with my amazing trainer, Walter Martin of World Gym, and the rest is history!
