Top Hair Styles for Spring 2012
Spring
2012 is sure to be flooded with Retro
hairstyles and slicked back
looks. Most of the
hair trends for this spring and summer season are carefree,
relaxed and very easy to recreate at home. One of the biggest
trends for this season is the look of scarf's worn on the head.
This spring and summer, center parts and off center parts were
favored at New York Fashion Week. If you are on the look out
for hair colors, Bold hues, pink, and turquoise are fantabulous
for this season.
Lug yourself into these hair trends to look fashionable
-
Glistening Tresses- This so called "wet look" style is great for
second (or third) day hair and is an easy transition from working out or
laying poolside to cocktails. This cinch hair style was seen all over the
New York Fashion Week 2012. Slicked back to give a neat look requires
allowing to dry your hair naturally and then backcombing from your forehead
to just below the crown. You can use gel to hold the hair in place and then
a finish off with a spray for a boost of sleek, sexy
shine. This style suits those with long hair.
-
Ponytail-
Looped
pony tail look picked from the runway to the street is going
to be hit among the youth.
Begin by spraying thickening
hairspray onto your hair and blow drying with a round brush
to create texture. Followed by a ponytail with a half loop at
the middle of your head, leaving hair long in the back. Clean up
the look with a mist of light hold, and you're ready to hit the
street!
-
The Urban Wave- blow dry, subtle curl. The natural, loose
waves of the hair compliment the asymmetric hemlines of the satin
dresses, allowing the clothes to solely speak for themselves.
The
contemporary urban wave hairdo suits women with chin length or shoulder
length hair.
-
Embellished Updos- Topknot has become the UP-DO du jour for the
stylee-ist of gals in the fashion industry this season. To get the look
keep your hair simple with a flirty bun. Pull your hair back into a high,
tight pony. Twist it into a bun, then secure with an elastic. Gently tug the
edges of the bun outward to make it appear fuller. Smooth fly-aways with a
strong-hold hairspray. At Yves Saint Laurent, teased chignons were secured
with cage barrettes, hair pins and errant strands which looked chic sticking
out at Phillip Lim. This hairstyle is the best way to show off your natural,
innocent beauty. Preferred mostly by busy women, this hairdo can be enhanced
by subtle tresses.
-
Bigger
blowouts- Apply a generous amount of mousse, set hair in pin
curls, then release and tousle. Dolce and and Gabbana worked
with Redken Creative Consultant Guido to create perfect hair
blowouts for the runway. Apply Redken Velvet Gelatine 07 to
damp, towel-dried hair. Section the hair and blow-dry with a
round
brush. Make sure to brush away from the roots to create
added volume. Create a center part and brush hair out so it's
bouncy and full. Section and set the hair with large rollers.
Take your hairspray and spray it on the brush. Then comb away as
you remove the rollers from root to tip. These tips, will surely
give your hair great volume, body and bounce that is sure to
wow!
- Braids & Twists Braids have got a graceful makeover for spring.
You could add a braided look to your ponytail, by back combing the pulled
back hair and weaving it up. Polish off your look by applying a finishing
spray to the head to give it a bit of shine. Hairstylists created pretty
plaits that swooped around the head, playfully exposing the neck at
Valentino, or cascaded down the full length of the back at Michael Kors.
You could choose between,
double stranded braids &
Dragged side braid.
-
Wrap
it Up- One of the exiting trend for this season is the look
of scarfs worn on the head. Many designers love this trend, and
it can be a easy accessory to wear in the Spring and Summer
Hairstyles 2012 warmer months. Simply find a style that works
for you and go with it.
-
Bumble & Bumble: A look that calls for little effort with
their complete range of product support. Begin by applying a
generous amount of Thickening Spray at the front of your head
and on the sides to give your hair a heavy finish. Blow dry
using only your hands. Work in a styling wax at the hairline by
running your hands through the hair to give it an ever-so-slight
greasiness. For fine hair, spritz Surf Spray on your ends to
give it a more dry, separated texture. The front can carry a
strong side or central parting.
Who has time to burn styling hair? These hairstyle are well suited for
today's hectic-paced world, and give you a chic look at the same time. Most of
us need a style that is easy to work with and requires little time primping in
front of the mirror. Start moving!
