6) Princess Alexandra, Luxembourg
Anyone up for a game of tennis? You’d be hard pressed to find a better doubles partner than Princess Alexandra. The only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, this eye-catching 20-year-old can usually be found patrolling the baselines at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where’s she’s a freshman on the varsity tennis team. A good sport through and through, Alexandra is also known to enjoy dancing, skiing, waterskiing, and swimming.
Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg was born on 16th February 1991. She is the fourth child and only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. Alexandra’s godparents are Michel de Ligne, 14th Prince of Ligne, and Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, born an Archduchess of Austria. She has three older brothers – Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Prince Félix and Prince Louis, and one younger – Prince Sébastien. Excluded from the line of succession from birth until 2011, when absolute primogeniture was adopted in respect to Grand Duke Henri’s descendants, she is currently third in the line. Prince Louis gave up his place in the line of succession earlier; Princess Alexandra is the godmother to his son, Prince Gabriel of Nassau.
Princess Alexandra Joséphine Teresa Charlotte Marie Wilhelmine, Princess of Luxembourg, Princess of Nassau and Bourbon-Parma, was born at the Maternity Grand Duchess Charlotte in Luxembourg.
She was the fourth child and only daughter of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. His brothers are the Hereditary Grand Duke, Prince William (1981), Prince Felix (1984), Prince Louis (1986) and Prince Sébastien (1992). Princess Alexandra holds the Order of the Golden Lion of the House of Nassau since 2009.
Princess Alexandra attended the primary school of Angelsberg and secondary education at the Lycée Vauban in Luxembourg where she was received literary graduate with honors in 2009. Princess currently pursuing university studies abroad where she is a die according to its areas of expertise, psychology and social sciences.
Multilingual, Princess speaks Luxembourgish, French, English and Spanish. It also has a good knowledge of German and Italian.
When his schedule allows Him, Princess Alexandra takes part in the activities of the Grand Ducal family and attend some ceremonies or official events such as National Day or the closing of the Octave of the Feast of Our Lady of Luxembourg.
